A focussed, effective and versatile Engineering Manager with acknowledged leadership and management skills. I am currently a Shift Manager within the Operations Department at Sizewell B Nuclear Power Station with ultimate responsibility for the safe operation of the station under normal and emergency operating conditions and retain my Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) licence. I was previously licensed in the positions of both Reactor Operator and Control Room Supervisor (SRO) after following accredited training programmes. My preceding career was with the Royal Navy where, over 24 years, I rose from an engineering apprenticeship to become the Senior Engineer (“Marine Engineer Officer”) in a nuclear-powered Trident submarine in the rank of Lieutenant Commander with recommendation for further promotion. I have been a Chartered Engineer for several years, am highly motivated and have the drive and determination to make a significant positive impact in anything I undertake.
