A USD680m (2010) \[USD250 in 2006\] annual turnover, privately owned, global business group comprised of 33 wholly owned and 6 JV businesses with a workforce of over 2200 personnel in 20 countries throughout North & West Africa, the Middle East, Australia, Canada and Asia employed on a wide range of oil & gas and power related activities including Onshore Drilling, Geophysical Services, Oilfield Services, Oil/Gas/Water Pipeline Engineering & Construction, Tank Maintenance & construction, Field Maintenance, NDT Services, Environmental Services, Process Equipment Fabrication & Installation, Brownfield Oil & Gas EPCM projects, manufacture of downhole pumps under license from Schlumberger; as well as number of smaller specialist business units engaged on emerging technology development including tertiary recovery and Contaminated land remediation.
• Redevelopment of financial, management and operations reporting structures and improved intra-company and project reporting through deployment of enterprise IT systems including MS Great Plains and MS Portfolio management and effective use of digital remote communications systems resulting in near real-time control of all branch office, project and corporate matters
• Deployed EPF systems on owned assets ensuring rapid return on investment.
• Completed first ever Steam-Drive tertiary recovery project in the Middle East for major GCC client.
• Successfully established alliance agreements with 2 major players, and JV's with both international and locally owned businesses facilitating establishment of operations centres in Kuwait & Iraq principally in fields of flare reduction and tertiary recovery (EOR).
• Recognised long-term decline of water well drilling Joint Venture and negotiated disposal of the business to JV partner (Libyan Govt) at zero cost.
• Successfully established environmental division operating in oil spill, contaminated soil and NORM’s with first project win of USD35m over 3 years deploying latest technology solutions and subsequent awards totalling USD72m adding 12% to group annual t/o
• Successful ISO 9000 & ISO18000 Accreditation throughout all businesses in under three years and commenced preparation for IPO in 2014.
• Reversed decline of Pipeline engineering business from losses of USD1.2m to profits of USD 3m in 1 year with projections in excess of USD27m for 2011.
• Designed, developed and deployed improved programme management system based on Prince2 project methodology as well as implementing more accurate cost control measures
• Deployed corporate performance management, talent management, leadership development and succession planning systems across all business entities reversing decline in staff retention rates.
