Customer Service Supervisor at Trans States Airlines
  • United States
  • August 2004 to June 2009

Held several positions from Flight Attendant to Gate agent, Operations Tower agent and Supervisor. Began as a Flight attendant on EMB 145 and J-41. Most flights were under one hour in length, requiring excellent time management skills as I was the only flight attendant on board.
Transferred to Customer Service Department in April of 2005.
Duties included guiding passengers to and from aircraft parked on ramp, loading/offloading carry-ons, maintaining ramp safety. Responsible for up to 3 aircraft at a push due to high volume of flights.
Gate duties included boarding aircraft, assisting passengers with rebooking and/or re-accommodations due to weather/maintenance/oversold flights.
After 4 months in department, promoted to Customer Service Supervisor/Ground Security Coordinator. Duties included coordinating with Ramp supervisors to uphold on-time departures of aircraft. Assisting agents with oversale and quick-turn situations and helping to maintain security of concourse.
Remained as contingent agent after accepting position with Carlson.
Trained in the operations tower July, 2007. Duties included coordinating between flight crews, gate and ramp agents, monitoring flights to maintain smooth flow at gates, and directing traffic flow of aircraft on the ramp.

Phone Agent in Online Fulfillment Center at Carlson Wagonlit Travel
  • United States
  • June 2006 to May 2009

Worked in a call center environment to assist clients from several hundred corporations with changes to itineraries booked through our online travel system. Rebooked air/car/hotel accommodations, re-priced airfare, interpreted fare rules, and assisted with technical support questions.
Level of competence and independence allowed me to work from home full-time while exceeding company expectations in call volume and accuracy.
