CAE Projects in Techzilon Training solution:
•2D meshing of front fender (LWR-Right Hand)
Mesh generation for crash analysis, with requirement for good flow through mesh and quality criteria such as warpage 10(less than), Jacobian(greater than)0.6, min size 6, target 14, max=28 mm, geometry cleanup was done on the IGES geometry using hypermesh, flow, transition of the mesh taken care according to criteria as well as best practice methods.

•Midsurface meshing of Glove box(plastic component) for linear dynamic analysis.
The IGES geometry was having different thickness, so mesh offset method was used for better placement of elements into the midsurface.
Unnecessary fillets were removed, the mesh requirement was for dynamic analysis(linear). Criteria was target 15mm, min 7mm, max 25mm, Jacobian 0.6, warpage 15deg, skew 60deg. Properties(for Radioss) were created using PSHELL card using different thickness also material properties were assigned to it. Pins were modelled using RBE2 and CBEAM elements. Boundary conditions were applied at the hinges. And Inrel -2 was invoked for free-free boundary condition. EIGRL for normal mode extraction. Control cards were used for desired outputs. FE model prepared was solved using Radioss.
•3D brick mesh of steering wheel of car:
Step file of steering wheel was split for solid mapping for hex mesh generation, each arm and wheel interface was carefully captured and quality was maintained as follows at the interface, jacobian 0.4, warpage, 28deg, interior angle min 14, max 166 deg. The mesh was organized in different components
