Currently working was Engineer 1 Construction responsible for coordination with various levels of Management and Engineers in Client, Petrofac, Sub Contractor organizations to plan and manage construction and Engineering of various On Shore EPCC projects in Oil and Gas Industry besides identification of Contract variations/ change orders. Responsibilities include Contract Review, Management of changes, Periodic progress reviews and reporting, Finalization of action plans to ensure cost and schedule control besides day to day monitoring and guidance to Engineering and Construction teams to ensure timely completion of Engineering and Construction of projects within scheduled Time and Cost with focus on Safety and Quality requirements.
Major responsibilities include preparation of technical specifications related to preparation of new drilling locations, Release of work orders to drilling contractors, review and acceptance of location acceptance, contractor invoice. Coordination with operations team to prepare Service orders, work completion and contract receipt and payments.
• Effluent Water Injection Phase 1 & Seawater Injection Phase 2 KOC Contract No. 45654
The Effluent Water Injection project comprises of modification to existing Gathering Centers GC 15, GC 23, GC 25 and the design of a new Central Injection Pumping Facility. The Seawater Injection phase 2 project is a modification of the existing Sea Water Treatment Plant facility located on the coast of Subiyah.
In this project I worked as Field Engineer- Civil. My major responsibilities involve the field engineering works related to Civil Engineering. Close coordination with Site Construction and other disciplines in carrying out the Field input for Engineering.
• 140 Km Gas Pipe Line Project for Kuwait Oil Company, Kuwait
I worked as overall Civil incharge for the Civil works for the pipeline. My main responsibilities include supervision for front end and back end activities for main line like Trenching, Lowering, Block Valve Stations, Back filling and Restoration etc.
Experienced with HDD and Micro tunneling works. Close coordination with Field Engineering division in resolving design issues, Monitoring day to day activities of Sub Contractor and Reporting.
Coordinating with Engineering/ Execution team as per project requirements, interface with national and international vendors/ sub contractors. Interface with Client/ Consultant, engineering review meetings with clients and vendors. Close coordination amongst multi disciplinary engineering team and clients. Preparation of contract documents, negotiation for contract finalization, and negotiation with client for claims and variations.
• Construction of 275 meter Chimney Job (Multi Flue)
Scope of the Project
The project is construction of 275 meter RCC chimney (4 flues) for BALCO 4 X 135MW Captive Power Plant.
Overall in charge for the major civil activities with specific concentration on preparation of Tender Documents, issue enquiries. Evaluate tenders in co-ordination with other disciplines; prepare technical Bid Evaluation, preparation of claims, negotiation with clients.
• Construction of Punasa Tunnel Works
It’s a connecting tunnel for Indira Sagar Project (Canal) running distance of 3677.25 meters. The shape of the tunnel is Horseshoe with internal diameter 8.25 meters.
Project Planning and monitoring, Site management- equipment, Labour and Material, Surveying- Line and Levelling, Tunnel Excavation, Lining concreteing, Open blasting etc.
• Cochin Coimbatore Karur Pipeline Project (126 Crore L S T K)
Site Engineer: Cochin Dispatch Terminal (Nov 2000- Oct 2001)
Site In charge: Irugur Intermediate Terminal (Oct 2001 - April 2002)
It’s an 18” Petroleum product line from Cochin to Karur, running distance of 292 KM.
Overall in charge for major civil activities such as construction of Control Room, Switchyard, Pump Station and Utilities.
