Geochemical analysis interpretation for projects mainly regarding oil bulk properties (API gravity, viscosity, % S, V, Ni contents) and completion issues (casing and tubing leaking - through the use of the Halpern C7 light hydrocarbons star diagrams).
Petroleum Geochemistry consultant / worker at PDVSA, Venezuela: providing consultancy / advice and direct working and mentoring company personnel in projects concerning Development & Production, as well as Exploration - addressed issues: crude and extract geochemical characterization (fingerprint) using molecular analysis (biomarkers, diamondoids and other markers); source rock characteristics assessment (kerogen type, %TOC, HI, OI, hydrocarbon potential, origin of the organic matter, deposition environment and maturity); biodegradation & other alterations (water-washing, evaporative fractionation etc.); assessment of connectivity / flow barriers issues within the reservoir;
impact of oil mixing (quality lowering and other negative-triggered events, e.g. asphaltenes flocculation);

Work in research / courses / lab / field - concerning various domains of Geosciences - Geology: Mineralogy, Petrology, Geochemistry. Analysis and interpretation of various minerals (especially tectosilicates: feldspars, silica; phyllosilicates: micas, clay minerals; carbonates) through XRD, XRF, ICP-MS and EMPA analysis. Petroleum Organic Geochemistry analysis: biomarkers and stable isotopes analysis interpretation. Design and presentation of courses, research reports and project-oriented materials. Students and young professionals mentoring.
After getting a Bsc. degree in Geology Engineering in June 1986 from the same university of Iasi, Romania, I graduated the Doctoral School, getting a Ph.D. diploma CUM LAUDAE in Geochemistry.
