Ensure that the establish control of QA/QC Plans, Method of Statements and Test Plans were properly observe before commencement of the project and implementing it during the project in order to meet the project quality requirements and client’s expectations.
Preparation of Test Analysis and reports required for submittal to the client at the end of the project for final handing over and preparation for closing out and control all non-conformance reports (NCRs) while undertaking remedial action, in order to prevent deduction on the final payment at the end of the project.
Prepare Request for Inspection (RFI) for each construction activity matching the cost break-up submitted to consultant to ensure it covers all the construction activities done on site.
Prepare and submit request for inspection (RFI) parallel with construction time schedule attaching required documents for submittal such as (e.g. latest shop drawings, survey record, quantities….etc), inspect and implement quality measures prior scheduled inspection with the consultant.
Monitor (RFI) and test reports and update Management, Construction Team, Planning, Quantity Surveyors and Cost Control Departments about the current job status.
Verify and check delivered materials on site to make sure that it complies with Qatar Construction Specification (QCS) and Project Specification prior to submission for approval.
Conduct periodic assessments to determine compliance of construction works, quality and workmanship and coordinate with project management and construction team regarding assessment result to identify and resolve non-conformance issue.
Review the shop drawings prior to submission to client for approval when required.
Monitor all works in progress and immediately notify the responsible Site Engineers, Supervisor or Foreman of any activity that may not be in accordance with project specification.
Assist Site Engineers in preparing and submitting Request for Inspection (RFI’s) and to cooperate fully with Client Staff in completing such inspection.
To ensure that all inspections and tests are carried out as indicated on the appropriate Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).
Plan and cause to be executed the amount of testing to be done as work progresses; see to it that the individual in charge are always present and witnessing the performance of the test whether in the field or in the laboratory.
Make periodic inspections of the field testing works and facilities, batching plant operations, materials processing, materials stockpiles; check that the required kind of testing and proper numbering of control tests are being performed.
Check and evaluate all test results, signify acceptance or rejection of the use of the materials on the basis of test results.
Responsible for monitoring results of tests as construction progresses for information and implementation of any recommendation.
Report any defective material or non-conforming activity to the QC/QA Senior Engineer
Liaise and cooperate with Company Site and Head Office Staff and Client Personnel, to ensure that harmonious working relationships are maintained.
Carry out other duties as required by Project Management and Company Corporate QC/QA Manager.
In review, analyze and recommend for approval and disapproval of the following documents (Test plan, Test results & Quality control report / documents).
Direction and supervision of the day to day activities of the entire QC site/offsite organization.
Coordinates all quality control activities with the operations group.
Conduct soil investigations and materials survey for probable sources of materials, and reporting the approximate quantity available, suitability of materials and other pertinent data.
To ascertain that all materials incorporated into the work pass the requirements of the standard specifications and to strictly comply with the schedule of minimum testing requirements.
Ensures the feedback and corrective action given whenever testing discrepancies are detected.
Keep a record / logbook of daily activities ready for inspection and submit within the required time frame test reports and other pertinent papers to the project implementing office.
Develop a system of filing pertinent reports on testing and quality control ready at all anytime for appraisal, inspection or quality assurance audit.
