Pharmaceutical Regional Sales Manager for Boehringer Ingelheim Germany the second largest respiratory company based on worldwide sales, reporting to Johannesburg Head Office.
Regional implementation of the national sales and marketing plan. Area call plan, customer call plan, product position and promotion time per customer, promotion budget, feedback, motivation. Planning and budget, promotion functions in support of sales efforts.
Co-ordination and co-operation with all the heads of department in carry out the sales and marketing strategy, company policy and use of company assets and budgets. Worked in close co-ordination with, human resources, marketing, finance, fleet management, distribution, training.
Maintained the area budgets for all spending covering hundreds of line items, area office administration in support of the staff, the distribution hub budgets and performance.
Training, motivation of all staff, performance development review process was a formal written on going interaction to provide high value feedback, planned relevant training. Worked with each sales person two days per cycle and key customer calls, when possible, part of the motivation review process, evaluation of marketing sales plan and how it translates in the field, how sales staff feel and use the plan.
