Knowledge, Roles and Responsibilities:
•Interpretation of the applicable structural or piping code (like AWS D1.1 and ASME B 31.3), client/ project specification and the blueprint for the sub-structure to be fabricated
•Carry out 100% parameter monitoring on subsea structure such as jumper, inline tee assembly \[ITA\], pipe line end manifold \[PLEM\], pipe line end termination\[PLETS\], flow line tee assembly\[FTA\], suction pile, topside piping.
•Good understanding and interpretation of approved fabrication drawings, relevant information for fit-up like the Welding procedure specification, for adequate guide on the welding process to be used for tacking and welding.
•Ensures that all fit-up tack welds are carried out by only suitably qualified welders and in line with the requirement of the Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) - application of minimum pre-heat prior to the commencement of the tacking activities
•Ensures that fit-up is carried out taking into consideration the quality requirements which negates practices like arc strike and creating of notches (mechanical damage) in the structure
• Review of all testing procedures to be executed by operations like (pneumatic, hydro testing, drift testing/gauging, back seal test etc.) for subsea structure \[jumper, ita, sho\] works in accordance to code requirements and project specifications.
•Study client/contracts specification/technical requirements, drawings etc.
•Inspection of shutdown activities, repair works for flets, plet, jumper, som, riser protector, jumper, spreader bar, topside piping, sho, responsible for visual and NDT inspection, preparation and final submission of Test pack as per client requirement.
• Carried out visual inspection, welding consumable verification, dimensional check, performance test, welder qualification, welder training and performance monitoring.
• Overall quality control project responsibilities such as interaction and co-ordination with clients, design, planning, projects, production, welding, and NDE
•Remarkable experience in welding and inspecting the pipe& structural joints at onshore & offshore

Knowledge, Roles and Responsibilities:
Generally responsible for coordinating inspection activities within the company covering the following:
•Visual inspection of all completed joints
•Raising requests for NDT and monitoring the NDT activities to ensure that identified defects are recorded and sent for appropriate action
•Preparation of welding inspection report, covering material used, joint welded, welders that carried out the task, reference NDT report numbers, result of the visual inspection, all traceability information relating to the reported joint/ drawing.
•Monitoring of the post weld activities like the Pressure Testing, PWHT, Leak Test, etc
•Review of welder qualification record and welder performance record (reject rate per job carried out)
•Review of the calibration information for the equipment, measuring and test devices to be used in course of welding and welding inspection
•Review of welding procedure specification (WPS) to be used for the job and monitoring of the welders to ensure compliance to the content of the WPS
•Review of working drawings to ensure that the correct fit-up parameter is used during fitting of the structure
•Use of punch list for verification of work carried out and the outstanding for the project
•Liaises with client for review of RT films and report of inspections carried out
