Knowledge, Roles and Responsibilities:
•Interpretation of the applicable structural or piping code (like AWS D1.1 and ASME B 31.3), client/ project specification and the blueprint for the sub-structure to be fabricated
•Carry out 100% parameter monitoring on subsea structure such as jumper, inline tee assembly \[ITA\], pipe line end manifold \[PLEM\], pipe line end termination\[PLETS\], flow line tee assembly\[FTA\], suction pile, topside piping.
•Good understanding and interpretation of approved fabrication drawings, relevant information for fit-up like the Welding procedure specification, for adequate guide on the welding process to be used for tacking and welding.
•Ensures that all fit-up tack welds are carried out by only suitably qualified welders and in line with the requirement of the Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) - application of minimum pre-heat prior to the commencement of the tacking activities
•Ensures that fit-up is carried out taking into consideration the quality requirements which negates practices like arc strike and creating of notches (mechanical damage) in the structure
• Review of all testing procedures to be executed by operations like (pneumatic, hydro testing, drift testing/gauging, back seal test etc.) for subsea structure \[jumper, ita, sho\] works in accordance to code requirements and project specifications.

•Inspection of shutdown activities, repair works for flets, plet, jumper, som, riser protector, jumper, spreader bar, topside piping, sho, responsible for visual and NDT inspection, preparation and final submission of Test pack as per client requirement.
