Responsibilities: Edge profile preparation (grinding) of CBN. This consists of Edge preparation, Edge Honing, Chamfering of the Test Material Cutting tool. These Test Material cutting tools are tested on various hardened steels for various testing applications such as Crater Wear Resistance, Flank Wear Resistance and Chip Resistance.
Analyse Flank Wear, Crater Wear with the use of Optical measuring equipment, Force and Temperature measurement, Data capturing for Graphs and image capturing for report writing for Scientist.
Up keep of Machine maintenance in the Lab, Test Procedures and Manuals written up according to ISO standards.
