Develop and conduct protection risk/needs assessments (surveys and focus group discussions) and analyze results to inform future programming.
Work with outreach/volunteer teams to disseminate key protection messages to refugees living in Azraq camp.
Support advocacy and protection activities by capturing and sharing key on-the-ground challenges, gaps, opportunities and successes.
Strengthen DRC’s participation in protection coordination mechanisms (including the Protection Working Group) in Azraq camp and identify opportunities for referral partnerships.
Identify cases in need of referral and ensure documentation of all cases referred by DRC to other service providers, as per DRC standards for referrals and data protection.
Work in close coordination with the Azraq Project Manager to ensure protection activities are in line with both overall and specific project outcomes and targets for protection activities are met.
Keep Protection Coordinator appraised of gaps and problems in protection programming and issues for advocacy or take-up with other agencies.
Contribute and support effective monitoring, evaluation and learning processes and initiatives, ensure effective data and information management and contribute to regular reporting on protection activities.
Support the Protection Coordinator in ensuring that protection is mainstreamed into all DRC projects implemented in Azraq Refugee Camp, in line with international standards and relevant DRC Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Prepare and lead protection trainings for DRC staff and volunteers.
Contribute to the protection focused review of project proposals, as requested.
• Supporting partners in the integration of SGBV principles in livelihoods work, including building early warning systems for increased household violence and linking partners to service providers and referral networks.
• Strengthening UN Women’s protection referral services in Za’atari camp and serving as UN Women’s protection focal point.
• Maintaining documentation on SGBV related trends and instances.
• Trend analysis, best practice and research on protection principles and programming.
• Support to partner capacity development on issues of gender equality and women’s rights - ensuring that partner interventions equally address the needs of women and men, and promote empowerment.
• Maintaining up to date training materials to be used for trainings on gender equality mainstreaming for humanitarian and development partners.
• Providing quarterly trainings to partners or ad hoc as requested.
• Providing technical assistance on issues of gender equality and humanitarian action/development programming as needed.
• Support UN Women’s refugees and host communities’ related knowledge and communication production.
• Support to product development for donors and resource mobilization.
• Support research and data analysis - including the production of in house knowledge products on protection and refugee related issues.
• Support to documenting programme learning, policy research and analysis.
• Support to undertaking events.
• Support to engaging UN Women’s women’s committees on protection issues.
• Support to site managers to set up protection focused activities — e.g. support groups.
• Ensure the C4W database is updated and all applications are filed. In the interim additional support will be provided to this due to the large number of cases that currently need to be filed.
• Working with the site managers to ensure all new beneficiaries have signed letters of engagement.
• Research and create studied surveys that feeds in the 4 thematic areas of Child Protection.
• Create a database for child protection that translate the data collected from the field via the surveys to act as an information hub for Child Protection.
• Monitor and Evaluate the activities through internal monthly reports.
• Analyze the project’s data and statistics according to the needs identified.
• Produce periodic reports to management and partners.
• Attend regular internal and external meetings, and provide updates on the program’s progress.
• Undertake any other relevant responsibilities assigned by the Project Manager.
• Conduct training need assessment amongst Protection team to build up their capacity and improve their performance in coordination with the HR department
• Budget Tracking with finance department.

• Provide a Comprehensive Psycho-Social Support to survivors of war trauma and torture
• Conduct Initial Screening and intake assessment of individuals, families, mothers and children
• Conduct group therapy healing techniques and execute treatment plans
• Follow up and advocate if necessary, through home visits and constant assessment
• Refer severe psychological cases that need comprehensive intervention to other organizations according to the level of case and speciality of organization
• Collecting information needed to the beneficiary case
• Assessing and reviewing cases referred by the Information Assistant and Data Entry employees
• Conduct home visits and school visits as seen appropriate while maintaining an appropriate level of confidentiality
• Follow up with refugee children in schools and\or the families in their homes
• Provide support for protection cases in schools in coordination with the Directorate Liaison coordinator through the protection manager
• Refer severe psychological cases that need comprehensive intervention to other organizations according to the level of case and speciality of organization
• Provide primary psychological support to the clients through joint sessions with professional psychiatrist (Supervisor)
• Conduct initial screening & primal psychological assessment clients of all ages
• Discussing treatment plans with the supervisor Psychiatrist and Psychologist
• Conduct regular home visits to the wounded refugee houses and provide with the psychological support and psychosocial support for individuals, families, mothers, and children
• Regular follow up for clients
• Weekly evaluation of the assignments given to me by the supervisor
