Manage and control bidding, Negotiation and awarding process
- Review MRO spare requirement, project surplus materials prepares buying specifications using 10 digits SHELL coding system.
- Inspect the received material from vendor, returned materials after overhauling / refurbishing, generalize spares wherever possible after inspection.
- Finalize the standards, classifying materials and assigning material group and product category and implement stock classes for the future reordering and purchases.
- Review requirement for first time buys, requirement, inventory levels, replenishment, stocks movements and annual usage, lead time and check for any equivalent, alternate/duplicate materials and advice the user for economic inventory levels and to cancel the order.
- Review demand forecasting for critical/standard spares, project materials, hardware, consumables, supplies and reserve requirements.
- Review slow moving, non-moving/dead stock product and components and recommend inventory disposition and instigate corrective action.
