Stage wise Inspection of static equipment and piping.
Qatar Gas Train-5 & SRU Turnaround 2017.
• As open inspection of equipment like Driers, heat exchangers (Shell & Tube
and AFC), pressure vessels, columns, furnace and strainers.
• Post cleaning inspection of equipment, mark the locations for NDT activities
as per client requirement and list out the repair activities in accordance with
procedures and standards.
• Inspection after repair in heat exchangers like tube plugging, seal welding and
witness exchanger pressure test (hydro test and pneumatic test) .
• Inspection in driers like top & bottom distributor and elbow inspection, weld
joint visual inspection after cleaning and NDT, inspection of repaired weld
joints and NDT, general inspection on vessel bottom and condition of
refractory lining, grating, ceramic rope, #4, #12, #20 and #30 mesh installation,
bottom man way and floating screen inspection and final inspection after
molecular sieves loading &clearance certificate for box-up.
• Inspection of Drums & Vessels for its Mechanical Integrity, review of all NDT
related activities & final Box-Up.
• Preparation of inspection procedures to follow-up their resolution to improve
Plant integrity.
• Preparation of inspection reports/certificates with all findings, abnormalities
and recommendations.
As found inspection of equipment like heat exchangers (Shell & Tube and
AFC), pressure vessels, columns, furnace, strainers and piping as well.

• Inspection after repair in heat exchangers like tube, tube sheet change
(re-tubing), tube plugging, seal welding and witness exchanger pressure test
(hydro test and pneumatic test) .
• Inspection of Drums & Vessels for its Mechanical Integrity, review of all NDT
related activities & final Box-Up.
• Visual Inspection of Columns, Identifying damaged trays, removal & install of
new trays, TSR and shell inspection, hydro test & final Inspection.
• External inspection of pressure vessels, columns, heat exchangers etc (CUI
inspection etc)
• Fit-up and welding inspection, coordination of all on-stream inspection/NDT
activities of plant piping systems.
• Identifying areas of special concern and deterioration (e.g., dead legs, injection
points, corrosion under insulation (CUI), erosion & corrosion/erosion).
• Preparation of inspection procedures to follow-up their resolution to improve
Plant integrity.
• Preparation of inspection reports/certificates with all findings, abnormalities
and recommendations.
• Giving recommendations to client for any repair/replacement/rerating
requirements.
Internal and external inspection of equipments like pressure vessels, columns
heat exchangers (Shell & Tube and AFC), heaters and piping as well.
• Preparation of shutdown inspection reports with all findings, abnormalities and
repair recommendations.
• Inspect any completed repairs, modifications and/or replacement /MOC
activities based on IFR.
• Coordinate with NDT team for PT, WFMPT, UT, MT,
WFMPI, RFET, ECT, PAUT, NFT, Hardness test and review the reports.
• Gasket inspection, Witness hydro test on heat exchangers, final inspection and
box-up of equipment.
• Piping job surveillance, fit up and welding inspection, piping punch list
preparation, test pack review, hydro test/pneumatic test witness and final pipe
loop review.
• Final inspection, box-up clearance and witness hydro test of equipment.
• Maintain and update all inspection documents to ensure compliance with
codes/standards and original design.
Engineer-Materials & Inspection

Duration: 5 years 8 months
• Analyze incoming SAP notifications from Plant during down days and /or
turnaround for maintenance activities (refurbishment, manufacturing,
fabrication and overhauling)
• Visually inspect received jobs from plant and prepare preliminary inspection
report.
• Handover notifications, drawings and preliminary inspection reports to
planning SV for further action.
• Attend daily shutdown coordination meeting and update the status of jobs
received during plant turnaround .
• Monitor, coordination and perform inspection activities and non-destructive
testing.
• Monitoring and investigation of in process and final quality deviations.
• Review workshops QC reports and accept the job, if deviations are in
acceptable limit as per site condition.
• Coordinate with Spares Planning to get raw materials, spares and consumables.
• Ensure that full description of materials required including abstract cost
estimation details are entered in the system.
• Coordinate with SMO(Supply Management Organization) and ensure that
orders are released by buyers for standard requirements or requirements which
are covered by Global contract.
• Ensure that quotes are obtained by vendors for non-global contract services
and evaluate technically the responses provided by SMO.
• Inspect the direct charge materials and provide final acceptance to WH QC.
• Review WH QC reports of ordered materials and provide final acceptance.
• Provide regular feedback to the Manager regarding the section’s performance
including major problems/issues faced.
• Continuous follow up with Supervisors and Specialist for the achievement of
plan and set objectives/KPI.
• Prepare overdue, locked and performance report and circulate to key personnel
and Management.
• Provide weekly report for the job status based on request of Manager.
• Follow-up and update the pending jobs, reschedule as required.
• Member of Near Miss and SAM investigation team.

prepare all project estimates in coordination with senior management and
client.
• Coordinate with various departments to recommend required quality
improvements and cost reductions for all activities.
• Manage all acquisition materials and ensure compliance to all mechanical
plans.

This is expansion project of Qatofin LLDPE Project (Linear low density poly ethylene)
Many pipes of minimum size 1/2” to maximum size 48” in different materials like carbon steel,
stainless steel, HDPE, RTR & GRP/GRE piping.
Job description:
Plan and schedule piping erection activities and coordinate installation sequence with
other disciplines.
Ensure that safety codes, requirements and standards are being complied within
assigned area of responsibility.
Coordinate with Superintendent regarding location, manpower, materials, tools and
equipments to be used
