MIS: Preparing and analyzing MIS (Financial Statement - Monthly P & L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Ratio(KPI)
analysis, AR Report, Collection Report, comparing actual vs budget with justification on the variance for effective
decision making) and reporting to Corporate Finance - Al Futtaim Group by ensuring to meet all financial closing
deadlines.
Scrutiny, analysis and Reconciliation: Reviewing and reconciling GL, TB, bank, long term receivables, payables,
advances, intercompany accounts. Ensuring accurate GL, VAT and financial accounting, analysis of revenue, capex
and opex. Verification of accuracy of student ledgers and AR balances periodically. Oversee implementation of
student billing module and reconciliation of front end system with SAP data. Overview daily collections and
reporting to Al Futtaim Group.
Month end closing: Accelerated month end closing process to the 2nd working day of every month ensuring
accurate monthly provisions, provisions reversals, prepaid entries and amortization, Asset control on SAP. Acquire,
deprecate and retire assets as per AFG polices. Resolving accounting discrepancies and irregularities before books
get closed for the month.
Annual Financial Reporting: Yearly finalization of Books of accounts, drafting financial statement with the related
disclosures as per IFRS, liaising with the external auditors and handling periodical internal audit from Al-Futtaim
Group.
VAT: Preparing quarterly VAT Return, monthly review of VAT register assuring continuous compliance of UAE VAT
rules & regulations. Preparing VAT Refund Template as per the FTA to apply quarterly VAT refund. Responding to
FTA queries/questions and meeting their requirements for releasing refund within constrain time limit of 5 working
days.
Budget: Assisting in preparing Annual budget.
Key responsibilities: Reporting to the General Manager-Finance Handling team of two persons in Finance/Accounts Department Work responsibilities include; 1) Reviewing accounting transactions, book entries to ensure its accuracy 2) Preparation and presentation of MIS reports 3) Closing of monthly and quarterly books of accounts by scrutinizing ledgers 4) Finalization of Books of accounts for audit purpose and assist with preparation and coordination of the yearly audit process 5) Maintain PDC Payables, Receivables, Accounts Payables, Cash Flow statement and Bank Reports at all times 6) Preparation and filling of UAE VAT Return
Key responsibilities:
• Reporting directly to the Manager and Partner
• Playing a leading role in mobilization of available resources through scheduling and prioritizing on various engagements starting from planning to finalization, includes:
1) Preparation of U.S. Corporate, Partnership, Trust, Foundation and Individual tax returns on specialized Pro FX software.
2) Tax Analysis of different types of entities.
3) Tax Basis -accounting for partnership firms and corporations using Quickbooks.
4) Auditing of Publicly held companies/Privately held companies, Attestation and Assurance (Compilation/review/Agreed upon Procedures), based on Citrin Cooperman policies and procedures and using technology tools such as CaseView and CaseWare software.
5) Preparation of Financial statements on CaseView and CaseWare (customised) software.
6) To achieve budgeted hours of assignment ensuring quality of assignment
• Statutory Audits, VAT Audit, Income Tax Audits of Manufacturing, Trading (Wholesaler, Retailer, Supermarkets) and Service Industries.
• Internal Audit (verification and analysis of internal control system) of Trading Company
• VAT Registration and E filling of VAT Monthly/Quarterly and Annual Returns of Various Entities belonging to Manufacturing, Trading, Service Industries.
• Accounting/VAT Accounting/Tax Accounting of Various Entities belonging to manufacturing, Trading, Service Industries.
• Preparation and e-filing of Income Tax Returns/TDS Return for various assesses including Private companies, Partnership firms & Individuals, etc.
• Service Tax Registration, ST return filing and dealing with ST department Notices and to assist ST department in ST audit.
