Dhivakar Anand Dhandapani

-Worked in the MEMS lab at NCKU, focusing on developing a polymer and metal thin-film combination for an efficient Tribo Electric Nano Generator. -Designed simulations using COMSOL to enhance the electrostatic induction and the effect of surface morphology modification.

B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. Worked in the Center for Autonomous System Research lab under Prof. Balasubramani and Prof. Vasantharaj during my 3rd and 4th year. Our team designed UAVs and MAVs with multi-rotor and flapping wing designs. Won first prize at GRIDTECH 2013, a student competition organized by the Power Grid Corporation of India, for designing a 6 rotor UAV capable of thermal inspections of live power lines. Final year project involved designing a test rig to measure thrust, lift, and flapping frequency of a flapping wing MAV. Used LabVIEW for data analysis. Experience provided an opportunity to apply mechanical engineering knowledge to develop new technologies in UAVs and MAVs, and to work in a team-oriented environment to achieve a common goal.
