Canada Controllership - Financial Analyses and Reporting Role (2 months in Toronto, Canada)
•Monthly Trial Balance Reviews and Books Close - Variance analysis on a MoM, QoQ and YoY level to identify key movements at a Group Account level. Liaising with key stakeholders daily till WD4. Also includes: -
•Analyzing the Cash Flow Statements (prepared using an Access file),
•Accounts Receivable with the Revenue Trends, DSO and the VAT Output.
•Inventory - YoY Chart trend analysis, DOI trending, BU category wise split analysis
•Accounts Payable - analysis of the DPO trends and the roll forward
•Analysis IC Payable and Receivables position
•Other Accrual accounts are reviewed at the TB level

•Preparation analyses and presentation of BU deck to both PC and Print BU Finance teams

•Balance Sheet Reviews/ Annual Country Review - involves preparation of a variance analysis for the flagged items of the country with an overall view of the Balance Sheet along with a page summary of the Profit and Loss. ACR involves additional reporting for the country which includes TAM, Organization Structure, Inflation index amongst many other things.
•Annual Board of Directors Review - Preparation and presentation of the Local Annual Financial statements in accordance with the IFRS with key notes on the legal movements for the year.

Involved in the Knowledge Transfer of a US Insurance Client, including preparation of the Capacity plan for the whole Financial Reporting team, preparation of the SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) for the tasks assigned to me, and training the team.
