My work with Vibes Events is varied according to their event personnel needs. Below are the jobs I undertook through their company and a brief description of the work accomplished.

March 2016: Promoter, F&B and Bar catering for Electrolux VIP Hospitality. Promoting the Electrolux stands, while also managing and catering the food and beverage buffet and bar.

February 2016: Hostessing for Etisalat, Jabal Ali Racecourse. Hostessing at the Etisalat stand and obstacle course at the Spartan Race.

November 2015 to January 2016: Brand promoter for Beam Wallet, at VOX cinemas. Promoting and selling a new financial application to customers while also offering mobile support and installation.

December 2014: Dubai Football Challenge, The Sevens Stadium. Hostessing at the Real Madrid vs AC Milan match.

Operational training in Al Dana restaurant kitchen.
Learned and practiced the basic cuts.
Buffet set-up, refill and supervision.
Room service breakfast order management.
Assist guests with their requests and information about the dishes available.
Preparing the mis-en-place.
Training in kitchen safety, hygiene and grooming.
Following the HACCAP procedures.
Knife color codes, skills and techniques.

Menu review, understanding and rotation system.

Front office (Business center, Concierge, Guest relations, Quality Management, Reception, Reservations, Transport and Telephone Operator).
Kitchen (Buffet restaurant, Japanese, Steakhouse, Italian kitchen, Oriental, Pastry and Bakery).
Food & Beverage service (Restaurant service, Barista and Room Service).
Housekeeping (Laundry, Public area cleaning, Uniforms department and Room cleaning)

Managerial Skills learnt in Front Office:
Guest complaints/disputes/ actions decided by the manager on duty or reception supervisor. Operating the Cisa key card encoding machine.Handling Credit card transactions.Cashiering - Takeover/Handover, maintenance of cash float. Guest check-in and check-out procedure as per IHG standards. Provide showrooms for guests, escorting them, selling and up-selling rooms or apartments. PMS Opera knowledge.

Managerial Skills learnt in the Kitchen:
Creating and testing new recipes. Ensuring hygiene and grooming standards are maintained. Ensuring all staff follows the HACCAP procedures.The importance of communication with all outlets and other departments. Ensuring all staff is safely and correctly using the kitchen equipments. Creating cost-efficient menus.

Managerial Skills learnt in Food & Beverage service:
Punching orders in Micros system and billing. Understanding of menu and prices. Answering phone calls and making reservations. Cheque logging for internal control. Lay out of tables and chairs and their set-up. Setting up tray/table up to standards and providing appropriate cutlery. Procedure of greeting and seating the guest. Procedure of serving hot and cold beverages. Tea and coffee refill sequence. Mis-en-place preparation. Napkin folding. Clearance procedure. Procedure of serving and setting up the order in the guests room.

Managerial Skills learnt in Housekeeping:
Cleaning hotel rooms, hallways, linen rooms, and employee and storage areas in the hotel as directed by Inspector, Housekeeping Lead, Supervisor, or Manager. Signing and securing room keys. Ensuring all linen and terry are without defect before placing them in the guest room. Visually inspect room for cleanliness and appearance, correct deficiencies. Assuring that every room is clean and everything in room is in proper working order. Cleaning and maintaining workstation, including stocking cart.

Ensuring the social, physical, psychological and emotional well-being of the children at the shelter. Helping them with their homework and providing them a safe environment. Aimed at developing their creative and artistic sides through entertaining activities.

Part time job acquired on project basis, where my main responsibilities were creating and designing brochures, flyers, business cards and all marketing material for the company. Including advertisement board designs as well as overseeing the printing process and personally setting up city light ad boards (together with a specialized small team).
