Erasmus Student Network
Total years of experience :2 years, 10 Months
Worked in leading the local team towards the inclusion of exchange and full time international students into the university and the country. Organized engaging events, watched over the processing of important documentation, and aided the university with whichever event management support they needed.
I also functioned as a the core of communication between the local and national section, reporting our monthly achievements and goals for the next month as well as received instructions and suggestions from the national side.
My responsibilities as a Local Head of Human Resources varied from technical and practical. On the one hand, I was responsible for the constant updating of the database containing all the required information of the 50-60 members of the local committee. I was also responsible for the internal reallocation of members to team leaders and managers positions at the end of the term, as well as recruiting and leading an organizing committee with which we would lead recruitment processes where from a pool of over 500 applicants, through the stages of application form reviews, interviews, and induction, we had to select the 50-60 members who would become part of the local committee based on the talent planning and persona needed in the organization.
But on the other hand, I was also responsible for the local engagement between all the members through the organization of fun days and activities, improvement of the working environment, the task of making sure the working standards were implemented on a monthly basis by all the team leaders, and for the constant reporting to the local director of my committee and the national head of HR from the organization.
Tutored people of multiple ages in reaching an intermediate dominance of the German language. Prepared them with the necessary linguistic abilities to achieve the personal goals of each of the students, whether it be just adding another language to their skillset, or to something more challenging as it is living/studying in a German-speaking country.
Participated as a manager in the promoting and selling the product to possible customers from partner AIESEC sections in other countries. The product - Incoming Global Volunteer - consisted of a six week experience in a local workplace in Baku for the youth abroad. We were not only in charge of the sales, but also for the documentation and processing of visas when necessary, dealing with any legal processes, and of course, looking after the volunteer during his/her six week stance in Azerbaijan while making sure all the exchange standards were implemented in the best form.
This major allowed me to lead the experiences I earned fruitfully and smoothly. I was part of two Social Responsibility Projects, one of which earned second place in the Heji Zeynalabdin Taghiyev Awards of Azerbaijan. I became local head of the Erasmus Student Network at my university and worked closely with the administration to ensure all the international students of the university had a successful integration.
