As a Manager of the KPMG Advisory team based in Dubai, I lead valuation and M&A projects and providing advisory services to financial and industrial sector clients in the GCC region.
Main activities include:
- Business development through client meetings and proposal preparation
- Managing and mentoring junior resources
- Performing business valuations using relevant methodologies
- Developing complex financial models for valuation or forecasting purposes
As an Assistant Manager of the FIG team in the Corporate Finance advisory department of Deloitte Italy in Milan, I was involved in numerous projects for European and international financial institutions. Main activities included:
• Financial valuation (market multiples, comparable transactions, dividend discount model, discounted cash flow method) of leading Italian credit institutions and private equity funds
• IBR of an independent Italian bank and of an independent brokerage firm
• Fairness opinions on international M&A transactions involving leading Italian banking group and South American subsidiaries
• Goodwill impairment test reviews for Italy's largest banking group on semester basis
• Recovery and Resolution Plan (RRP) for leading Italian banking group
• Credit portfolio due diligence of primary private wealth management bank in Lugano and of primary Italian credit unions (BCC) for leading international investors
• Buy-side advisory for the acquisition of: a €950m NPL portfolio from leading Italian banking group; a €4.4b NPL portfolio and credit servicing platform from leading Italian banking group; a €1.3b NPL portfolio from key Italian credit servicer;
• Sell-side advisory for the sale: of a €450m NPL portfolio of a major international investment bank; the sale of a €2b NPL portfolio and credit servicing platform of top Italian bank
• Creation of the Deloitte Survey on Italian Non-Performing Loans, the results of which were discussed during the Deloitte Deleveraging Europe Conference held in Milan in July 2014
• Market sector research (asset management, banking, NPLs).
I was also a member of Portfolio Lead Advisory Services, Deloitte’s international team dedicated to non-performing loans (NPLs) portfolio analysis, valuation, and sell and buy-side M&A advisory for leading Italian and international financial institutions, investors and credit servicers
As an analyst in this well-renowned investment banking boutique in Milan, Italy I supported the senior managers and partners in several projects for large corporations, including listed companies. Main activities included:
• Independent business plan assurance in the debt restructuring process of listed Italian industrial companies
• Financial valuation of companies operating in healthcare and H&L sectors
• Financial statements analysis of Italian and international SMEs, corporations and financial institutions
• Technical advisory to leading listed industrial companies and financial institutions involved in lawsuits
