SCOPE OF ROLE: The position was to coordinate to implement Sabal program activities within the project
framework. Assist to project, administration, mobilization, linkages and coordination with Government
line Agencies. Role was also responsible to oversight finance, operation, HR function, safety/security,
donor's compliance and audit.
MAIN OBJECTIVE:
Sabal components Livelihood, Health and Nutrition and Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change
Adaptation (DRR/CCA), Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI), Social Mobilization and Social
Behavior Change Communication (SBCC).

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
• PLANNING & BUDGETING:
• Led district level planning and budgeting accordance with the guidelines, framework, policies and
Project Proposal.
• Ensured monthly plan, budget along with DIP.
• Coordinated, maintained good relationship with local government, local communities and other
stakeholders in the Districts.
• Submitted progress reports to Senior Cluster Coordinator/Manager.
• Supervised and supported Subordinates field level staffs on management, technical enhancement
through training, coaching and counceling
• Evaluate staff performance and recommendation and performed other HR relates.
• IMPLEMENTATION:
• Led/coordinated multidisciplinary Sabal theme, its activities with respective partners;
• Ensured the partners implemented the plan & budget as stipulated in the DIP and phased budget.

• Ensured monthly progress, budget vs expenses tracked and timely submitted,

• Liaison with Government of Nepal regarding the processing, follow up and obtaining official visa for
AYADs and VIDAs
• Residence management/property seeking for the volunteers in Nepal
• Organize different training for volunteer during their arrival period in order to familiarize them with
the working culture of Nepal.
• Attend meeting with Host Organisations in order to write and finalize proposal assignment, approval
of assignment and agreements.
• Perform all the related duties assigned by In-Country Manager to implement the AYAD/VIDA programs
in Nepal.
1. In mid of 2006 started a Trekking company run till 2008. During this period visited India and Tibet and
promoted/marketed, managed groups for trekking in Nepal and Pilgrimages tour of Kailash Mansasarovar
successfully. Later on 2008, sold the company and continued full time job with AYAD/VIDA.

• Identified the most important problems and prioritized them, formed sub-committee and firstly
selected Sewer construction and Road maintenance programs with the participation of user group and
stakeholders.
• For those projects, made an estimation, designed, and fund raising.
• Prepare proposal on community improvement and presented proposal to Village Development
Committee (VDC) and District Development Committee (DDC) for the funding.
• Social mobilized and fund raised and implemented the projects (black top and others) and completed
satisfactorily and established public audit system at community level.
• Successfully handled those projects and carried out all the related jobs like accounting, progress report
and submitted to the stakeholders, VDC and DDC.

• Conducted field work (District where Utthan implemented the programs) to review and assess the
capacity of Community Based Organizations (CBOs). Examined the suitability of the proposed micro
project and provided the view to the Team leader for the funding on the received proposals.
• Coordinated and provided feedback to District Program Officer (DPOs) to identify the target group and
to design the project and assisted them to implement the projects and systematized the data to be
prepared the reports to donor.

• Management of visa for Expatriate, staff, volunteers, interns and Australian Youth Ambassadors for
Development AYAD (Volunteers) and their family; processing, follow up and obtaining the visa.
• Inventory/procurement management (obtain quotations, prepare comparative chart, cost analysis,
prepare purchase order, purchasing, preparation of asset list) for office and residence for all foreigners
(staff, volunteers).
• All round support to office and its projects regarding tax clearance, duty exemption, renew agreement
with government, etc.
• Frequently fields visit to inspect the host organization to provide the technical support to placement
the volunteer and prepare the inspection reports.
• Assessment, review, monitoring and evaluation of the volunteers' program.
