After 3 years of working as a hotel receptionist I was promoted to become Hotel manager. My tasks were but not limited to:
- Manage hotel services, such as accommodation and catering;
- Liaise with hotel contractors and suppliers;
- Track hotel bookings;
- Oversee event and conferences in hotel conference rooms; - Helping hotel director with managing budget and controlling expenditures
- Maintaining statistical and financial records;
- Meeting and greeting guests with the warm welcome;
- Recruit, carry on trainings and supervising staff;
- Promoting and marketing the business;
- Maintaining close contact with all department;
- Handling customer complaints and queries;
- Other related tasks according to hotel requirements;
As a hotel receptionist I was responsible for providing efficient and exceptional service to wide variety of individuals on daily basis including guests, team members and etc. Hence my duties were:
- to provide a friendly, welcoming experience by greeting guests as they enter the hotel,
- verify and collect guest payments and identification,
- operate the hotel key control system while strictly following all key safety & security procedures,
- answer the hotel phone,
- complete shift checklist(s) to ensure the hotel information is updated and team members are prepared for the daily activities,
- provide guests with clear directions and recommendations for local points of interest including restaurants, shopping, local attractions, and etc.
