Complemented course work by focusing my thesis on “Traumatized Palestinian Children in Refugee Camps in Jordan”. The aims of the study were to estimate the extent to which children living under the effects of prolonged conflict and forced migration, are affected both emotionally and cognitively by the violence and aggression taking place in Palestine. In addition, the research aimed at revealing whether refugee children suffer from vicarious traumatization by being consistently exposed to and reminded of the Arab-Israeli conflict and the deteriorating state in Palestine, be it through media or family members. The role of international organizations and NGO’s in raising awareness and alleviating educational and social conditions of children residing in Palestinian refugee camps in Jordan was also tackled.
