Senior architect for:
Cash for Work project funded by GIZ under the Syrian response programs in the District of Gweirah, Aqaba Governorate in Jordan. The project focuses on the developing and improving the green infrastructure / public open spaces In Gweirah through participatory design approach and implementation process.
Responsibilities: design and supervision for the implantation of works in Gweirah
work plan, purchase orders and monthly reports preparation to the donor.
- Designed commercial buildings, residential buildings, and interior living spaces.
- Worked with a team of architects and engineers to produce professional construction drawings according to the Jordanian municipality and the engineers’ association standards.
- Delivered visual graphics and presentations for clients to make sure that designs are fully understood.
- 3D modelling and rendering for projects at different stages of design (conceptual, schematic, and
final designs).
o Co-ordination with clients, engineers at the office and site engineers.
- Studio supervisor for 3rd year architecture students.
- Teacher assistant for 4th year architectural students’ studio.
o Worked on an urban design and landscape project (Wadi Musa Tourist Zone) with Turath team to develop the area by designing urban furniture, natural trails.
o Writing project development reports, and design strategies reports.
o Documentation for small scale historical constructions (old houses in jabal Amman and Al Weibdeh) as well as a documentation for large scale historical sites (Historical village of KAAF, in Saudi Arabia)
o Prepared detailed drawings for designed constructions, urban furniture, and interior details.
o Documentation of heritage structures by measuring and drawing existing structure, and assessing building elements and their authenticity and necessity in the building.
o Presented designs for adaptive re-using and architectural rehabilitation of old structures after the documentation process.
o Prepared presentations for workshops about materials such as wrought iron and stone.
o Drafted detailed drawings and sections of structures (residential buildings, villas) specifying dimensions and materials needed according to building standards.
o Helped presenting conceptual and final designs for clients through Photoshop and 3D rendered images.
o Drafted detailed drawings of structures specifying dimensions and materials needed according to building standards.
o Visited construction sites to learn about building methods and materials used.
o Researched architectural styles and building types at the conceptual design department.
