Internship in Enigma Magazine, Cairo, October -November (2013)
-Writing a blog article on the enigma site.
- Wrote the editor's note for the enigma shopping site which involved describing in a creative manner the items being sold.
-Helped collect information and photographs for the magazine's articles as well as helping write on of the articles about luxury to be featured in upcoming issue.
-attended photo-shoot to be featured in that month's
issue, to further understand how it works in a magazine.
The Global Institute Project, Cairo, August -September (2013)
• Aided in the logistics and planning of a local project sponsored by an international NGO called the Global
Institute, which focuses on youth leadership and human rights education. Attended non-formal education
seminars, as well as aided in the strategic developments and fund raising.
Internship in Canvas Magazine, Dubai, November - December (2012)
-Fact checking for the dates and description of upcoming events to be featured in the magazine,
-Writing book reviews to be featured in that month's issue.
-Helping out in covering the Abu Dhabi Art exhibition which took place in Saadiyat Island. During the exhibition, i would go to lectures and give a summary which would be further edited to feature in the 4 day journal covering the exhibition. In addition, I was required to interview several of the gallery owners present in the exhibition.
-Work with special needs kids under the age of 14. Helped with the lessons, as well as made sure they finished the work that was assigned to them by the main teacher.
-Took part in event days in the school where races were
organised and eating contests among other things.
