Duties Performed:
•Review of inspection and Test plan (QAP) per QC-Procedure, Client Specification and Approved Drawing.
•Review of the project scope of work, material specifications, and drawings for any conflict with the requirement of the Quality standards and advise the Engineering Dept to initiate the corrective actions with the client prior to commencement of work.
•Review of WPS & PQR.
•Witness of welder performance qualification & approval.
•Witness mechanical test on materials like Hardness test, tensile test, Charpy impact test etc.
•Responsible for manufacturing components as per Client requirement.
•Review the project execution plans, project quality plan.
•Understanding and interpreting various complex drawings.
•Responsible for inspection of fabrication, welding and installation of Heat exchanger shell, storage tanks as per the approved QCP/ITP, ASME section.
•Dimensional check, Fit-up, weld visual and NDT Inspection for Heat exchanger shell, storage tanks as per Codes and standards
Visual inspection of welds as per the procedure requirement.
•Thickness measurement and hardness testing of Pipe and plate.
•Inspection to MPI and PT of butt welds and fillet welds for various applications.
•Evaluation of weld and cast defects and interpretation of RT films with respect to acceptance standards.
•Conducting out station and in-plant NDT training programs for various reputed companies
•Records, organizes and evaluates test results and generates NDT reports.
•Responsible NDT methods like PT, MPT, UT, RT and VT
•Assisting in the purchase and maintenance of NDT equipments.
