The key accountabilities in both markets include being the primary P&L (total business) owner covering domestic, express, freight and shop & ship products. Other responsibilities include:
Setting strategy and vision:
•To translate the strategy, vision and mission of the corporation to the local market.
•Keep up to date with market forces and competition activities. Review and plan the strategic and tactical plans in accordance with shifting trends.
•Maintain and enhance the Aramex image, culture and brand.
•Continuously work to enhance relations with customers, public, government officials, suppliers, airlines, etc.
Budgets/ Profits and cash flow
•Ensure positive cash flow for the company to meet its obligations while continuously monitoring receivables and credit limits.
•Monitoring net income after expenses and allocation of resources.
•Meet and strive to exceed financial profits and goals as agreed with the management.
•Approving new projects and constantly optimizing approach to reduce budget expenditure and ensure that every program generates a positive ROI.
Sales / Marketing and Service:
•Monitor and visit top 10 clients and develop a rapport with them.
•Set and review product and team budgets and targets.
•Review project proposals that require infrastructure investment.
•Continuously measure and try to enhance customer and employee satisfaction.
•Deal with and try to resolve escalated customer complaints.
Achieving operational excellence:
•Continuously monitor performance indicators making sure that they are within best practice.
•Strive for efficiency in the operations without comprising quality.
•Assess and mitigate risk in all aspects of the business and ensure that the company is protected from various aspects of risk.
Human Resources:
•Work with the HR leader to acquire, train and maintain talent in the station.
•Maintain a healthy work environment and ensure employees have all the tools needed to work effectively.
•Encourage a work environment that promotes positive attitude and ambitious objective.
•Conduct leaders’ performance appraisal
