• Managing the entire ground handling operations of Sharjah Airport and allocating and supervising around 200 personnel in a shift.
• Ensuring all inbound/outbound passenger and cargo flights are fully manned with the relevant manpower and equipment for smooth operation.
• Planning and Monitoring the day and following days work load & staffing levels, rectifying any issues that may occur like shortage of manpower.
• Ensuring company procedures, discipline and performance are met, monitoring and correction of staff performance in all areas and conducting first line disciplinary interviews.
• Verifying and updating time sheets of all the staffs on a daily basis and ensuring the staff strength for each day is reflected in the Work Bridge System for pay roll calculation.
• Daily team briefings to ensure high standards of Health and Safety and good working practices are maintained.
• Handling all ground handling related queries from customer airlines and other agencies through e-mail and telephone.
• Liaising with training department and preparing training schedules for staff.
• Preparing and submitting daily shift reports at the end of each shift to Operations Manager.
• Posting internal vacancies and assisting staff for submitting internal vacancy applications to HR department.
• Supervising all Ramp operations from Arrival until Departure of the Aircraft.
• Carrying out of all administrative functions and correspondence.
• Liasoning with other agencies in the Airport like Airport police and Airport Security.
• Baggage and Cargo X-ray Screening, Security of Checked in baggages, Cargo Security and Escort.
• General Surveillance of Check-in counter Areas and Checked in baggages.
• Ensuring proper identification and reconciliation of all passenger baggage’s before being loaded into the aircraft.
• Access control to the Aircraft and performing Pre-Flight Anti Sabotage Checks of Aircraft.
• Security of Passengers, Aircrew, Airline and Passenger property.
• Secondary Ladder Point Checks of Passengers and their Hand baggages..
• Supervision of all Checked in baggages from the point of check-in until the loading onto the Aircraft.
• Close observation and Profiling of passengers at the boarding gate and off-loading any hand item of passengers from the anti-hijacking point of view.
• Scheduling meetings for decision makings with the company’s clients and taking actions for the betterment of company’s service.
• Proper management of company’s financial accounts including the salary disbursement of all staff.
• Allotting weekly duty roster for staff at various work stations.
• Supervision and surprise patrol checks at different work stations regardless day and night.
• Organizing events and functions on behalf of the company for the workers.
• Rendering marketing services for the company in finding new clients.
• Liasoning with various agencies like the labour office and the police offices
