DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
• Assess patient health care needs and makes an initial evaluation.
• Formulates a plan for the nursing care function.
• Implements the nursing intervention/actions.
• Monitors and evaluates care and services provided to client/families.
• Manages medications in coordination with the referring physician to ensure proper dose, route, and frequency.
• Documents nursing care according to established charting guidelines.
• Provides current information on client health status to the Nurse Supervisor as required.
• Provides teaching/counselling to individuals and families as related to the client’s nursing care plan.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
• Responsible for the daily care of an admitted patient (inmate). This can include administering medication, setting IVs, giving shots, updating patient records, providing emotional support, patient education, basic diagnostics, and other procedures.
• Record patients' medical information and vital signs
• Regulate present IVF to the prescribed rate and provide any necessary health or procedure instructions (i.e. quantify urine, report any signs of bleeding or persistence of LBM/Vomiting and any untoward signs and symptoms.
• Fills in necessary information in the patient’s chart.
• Provides plan of care.
• Provides medication cards.
• Relays/inform the physician of any laboratory results, other pertinent data and findings, and other concerns regarding the patient.
• Facilitates therapeutic/diagnostic procedures that needs to be done.
• Nursing endorsement of the outgoing staff nurse to the incoming staff nurse every shift.
• Responsible and accountable for total nursing care of a group of patients assigned to them during the shift.
• Making patient rounds after receiving endorsement.
