From year 2021- current year, worked as Health, Safety and Environment Specialist for BMMI Group, Bahrain. BMMI is a diversified retail & distribution, contract services, and supply group, supported by a world class integrated logistics capability. I was responsible for planning, implementing, and enforcing Company’s Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures complying with the standards and regulations. Responsible to carry out potential risk assessment identification, implement control measures to reduce or eliminate hazard.
• Conduct periodical HSE inspections of risks & hazards across company sites including warehouses, other facilities and recommend improvements in line with standards and regulations.
• Schedule and conduct Emergency drills in line with HSE policies and maintain records.
• Conduct Health, Safety and Environment trainings to increase the worker’s awareness on HSE safe work practices.
• Accident, Incident, near miss Investigations to identify the root cause and recommend the corrective & preventive action to be implemented by the concerned departments to reduce the likelihood or severity of these incidents occurring in future.
• Issuance of Permit to Work for projects & maintenance works and follow up with HSE safe work practices implementation till completion.
• Responsible for HSE documentation includes updating compliance register, risk assessments, HSE KPIs, OTP quarterly report, Gap analysis & action plan implementation, HSE Policies & Procedures, First Aiders & Fire Fighters list, Accident & Incidents, Near miss records, Inspection & Training reports, Waste, CO2 emissions, Energy & Water consumption reports etc.
• Plan & Conduct HSE Committee meetings every month to discuss OHS events, statistics and other HSE related matters with committee members across the departments to ensure consultation and participation of the members for the continual improvement of HSE safe work practices complying with the standards and regulations.
• Coordinate with the Auditing function for all BMMI location’s internal, external Audits and continued certification of ISO standards 45001:2018 (Health & Safety) and 14001: 2015 (Environment). Ensure all preventive and corrective actions following HSE Audits are closed out as agreed time frames.
• Plan, Coordinate and conduct periodic health check-ups/ campaigns for the workers in the company.
From year 2019- 2020, I worked in a Managerial role for Sales & Marketing Dept, Zenith Technologies, India. It is a Cognizant company with vast experience in the areas of Automation, MES, and digitalization. I was responsible for Automation business from Life sciences and other process industries in two regions. Lead a small team of engineers and managed the regional operations for Zenith Technologies in Hyderabad, India.
In the period 2013- 2016, along with my spouse ventured, built & expanded our business in India. A global concept & our core team consisted experienced corporate professionals from IIT Mumbai & Kanpur, India.
Responsibilities:
Plan business expansions & operations for the fiscal year. Build a system driven function model. Plan and decide business targets for channel partners. Provide all the support & training to the existing channel partners to make them self-sufficient to operate on their own. Monitor the businesses & operations of channel partners in different regions on a regular basis & take required actions. Plan and travel in India & other countries to explore, identify and collaborate with new channel partners and expand the business. Participate in International Business Conventions and organize events to promote the business at regional level.
Due to valid reasons had to wind up our business in 2016.
From year 2008 to 2010 worked as an Engineer- Marketing for Industrial Automation & Drives Technologies Division, SIEMENS Ltd, a German multinational operating in India since 100+ years. World’s leading company in the field of Industrial & Process Automation.
From year 2006 to 2008 worked as an Engineer for Industrial & Process Automation Dept with the leading system integrator company for Schneider Electric in India providing turnkey solutions for process industries.
Education Qualifications: B. TECH in Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, from Narayana Engineering College, affiliated to JNTU, Hyderabad, India, year 2003-2006. Diploma in Electronics & Instrumentation from SDDGWTTI, Hyderabad, India, year 2000-2003. PG Diploma in Industrial Automation, from prolific systems and Technologies Pvt Ltd, Hyderabad, affiliated by N.S.D.C, India, year Jul 2018 to Oct 2018. Additional safety Certifications as mentioned below: NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety. Highfield Level 1 International Award in Fire Safety. Heart Saver, First Aid CPR AED from AMH-Bahrain. Pursuing Internal Auditor- Integrated Management Course covering QHSE standards- ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001: 2015.
