DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBLITES :
1.) Manages, supervises and take responsibilities in the ward/ unit in the absence of the Head Nurse and reports directly to the Nursing Supervisor.2.) Act as a mentor for junior staff assigned to the area.3.) Maintains confidentiality of patient records and rights.4.) Provides total nursing care post- operatively 24-48 hours close observation and monitoring of vital signs including pain to patients on infusion of analgesia/ narcotics using PCA machine and Syringe pump through epidural catheter or intravenously and reports any signs of complication. 5.) Able to do wound dressing aseptically on post-operative wound and infected wound.6.) Assisting patients while mobilizing using axillaries and elbow crutches, walking frame and gutter frame.7.) Provides nursing care to bedridden patients with casted leg, with skin and skeletal traction and reports any signs of complications.8.) Able to apply skin traction, back support, knee immobilizer and hip braces to patients.9.) Participates in the rehabilitation and discharge planning of the patients/families.10.) Provides for the physical, psychological and social needs of the patient/families.11.) Maintains and updates all relevant patient documentations/medical records as per hospital’s policy and procedures.12.) Personal Hygiene (e.g. Nail care, Hair care, bowel & Bladdercare) .13.) Maintenance of good nurse pts relationship. 14.) Maintenance absolute sterilized .15.) Maintain good sterility with according to the procedure & systematically .16.) Well versed with suturing in criticail care & any type of emergency .17.) Assisting intercostals drainage (ICD) .18.) Intercity camps, health camps, Ambulance services for the criticality patients .19.) Assessment of the patient needs and plan for the patient care .20.) Establishment of patient air way and ensure that patient is breathing normally.21.) Monitor the patient continuously .
