Responsible for deploying the change in Acceptance & Production environment.
•Work closely with clients’ to facilitate required changes when needed.
•Managing and Monitoring the JVM performance by WebSphere Heap Size, garbage collection, JDBC Pools
•Responsible for implementation and periodic testing and support of Web Environments.
•Publish the code in different environments including Production with adherence to the industry standard Change and Release Management practices.
•Automated deployment through RAFW and issue troubleshoot.
Work with development, QA and project management teams to set release schedules and environments in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
•Providing the back end support to the production support, testing and development teams.
•Coordinating with the UNIX and DBA teams for maintaining the UNIX and DB environments.
•Used Tivoli Performance Viewer to monitor WebSphere Applications and tuned the environment accordingly like changing the JVM Heap, and Connection Pool sizes.
•Involved in issues like Application not responding. Application Deployment Errors, Wrong Database host name, Server Hung due to out of memory or thread hanging, Owner ship issue
•Creation and management of application server environments for developing, testing and performance.
•Improve and maintain build automation for continuous integration, release processes, change management, and more.
•Creation of Standalone, Horizontal and Vertical Clustered environments and load balancing configuration in WAS.
•Installed and Configured WebSphere Application Server 6.1 and IBM HTTP Server 6.1
•Scheduling System Tasks (Cron, Autosys), Backing Up and Restoring Files (tar, zip, gunzip and dump).
•Complete database administration activities like creation of database, updating, import, export, automated backup scripts etc.
