Head of Operations (Program Advisory/EPMO) at Atkinsrealis
  • Saudi Arabia
  • My current job since September 2022

Reporting to: Country Director-KSA I joined the ATKINS team based in Al Ula KSA as an internal transfer from ATKINS UK to take on a higher role, as the Head of Operations for the entire program I am responsible for the management and review of all aspects of the operation including our people, mobilisation & logistics, accommodations, transport, standards implementation, client satisfaction and revenue.
Responsibility:
• I managed the day-to-day operations of every department, ensuring optimal efficiency, quality, and safety, monitored and evaluated the performance of the operations team, using key performance indicators (KPIs).
• I collaborated with all Project/Program Directors and stakeholders to align the operations with the overall company's vision and goals.
• I lead, mentored, and inspired a diverse team of project managers, engineers, and support staff and fostered a collaborative and innovative team culture focused on delivering excellence to our client.
• I managed and optimised project budgets, ensuring that financial goals were met while maintaining high-quality standards and implemented cost-control measures and drove operational efficiency.
• I identified potential risks and developed mitigation strategies to ensure the successful delivery of projects and proactively addressed issues that may impact project timelines or budgets.
Achievements:
• I effectively lead and managed the operations team that cultivated and maintained strong relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs and ensuring the successful delivery of projects that exceeded expectations.
• I successfully drafted & implemented policies that ensured all staff were in compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards, such as health and safety, environmental, and quality.
• I effectively mobilized over 100 staff members to Al Ula, which contributed to our program revenue of $80 million CAD for the fiscal year 2023.
• Because Al Ula is a rural place, I was able to minimize the number of times our team had to wait to see a medical expert by 50% by creating a 24-hour ambulance service that is always there to help.
