• Understand the scope of work for the project, identifying the deliverables, preparation of Cost-Time-
Resource for the project;
• Review/comment drawings, datasheets, specifications, studies, analysis, etc. prepared by Client;
• Plan, Organize, Lead and Control resources like: manpower & equipment loading and mobilization prior to execute given scope of work;
• Identify the activities to be performed, distributed or assigned among the subordinates;
• Plan & Monitor the work progress on a daily basis with the subordinates to make sure that the targets are
achieved as per schedule;
• Monitor the man-hours for the project with coordination by Safety Department. Prepare weekly or monthly progress report. Attend weekly or monthly progress meetings as needed;
• Liaise with client Operation & Maintenance coordinator, Project planner, Inspection team & TSD for engineering issues & concern prior to execute piping or mechanical work scope in accordance to Management of Change (MOC) agreement & guidelines, modifications activity, hot tapping work, fabrication & erection of pipe spools & pipe supports and other relevant issues towards completion of work and maintenance, shutdown activity, as well as safety matters;
• Plan & Control workshop capability with respect to productivity, quality, cost and safety requirements. Organizes work area for maintain smooth flow of fabrication;
• Clarifies direct workers & subcontractors queries for applicable and relevant information, data discrepancies and or revisions as per approved & issued ISO drawings for construction prior to start fabrication and site execution activity;
• Ensures material take off & material specification are reviewed & carried out in accordance with ASME, ANSI, ASTM & other relevant industry standard & codes prior to do fabrication of pipe spools & supports;
• Ensure proper preparation & fit up of pipe spool, dimensional check, orientation, weld joints condition inspection and verification were carried out & followed as per standard procedure and client specifications required;
• Ensures pipe spools and pipe supports are fabricated, air blow, blasted & painted according to isometric drawing specifications and inspection requirements with confirmation prior to start site execution activity;
• Directly involved in supervision and full control with direct workers & subcontractors during site execution (erection of pipe spools and pipe supports, hydro-testing, flushing, air blowing, reinstatement, NDT, touch up painting, insulation & cladding if required) were carried out;
• Review/comment finding reports, appraisal report, etc. prepared by the subordinates;
• Defines test limits on piping line as per isometric drawings & P&ID and compile with necessary checklist for punchlist, hydrotesting, flushing, blowing and reinstatement;
• Perform other task as and when required like: Static Equipment Shutdown and or Repair works: (Vacuum Tower, Vacuum Heater and Heat Exchanger).
• Consider Health, Safety and Environment as the highest priority in all activities undertaken by
mechanical and piping team in accordance with Company standards.
