GRAND PETROLEUM’s activity is in Oil & Gas felid, it is a contracting and Projecting Company, my multiple roles there are Procurement Specialist, Logistics, Chinese-English Translation and also Administration General.

Procurement Job Functions:

• Reviews purchase requisitions and restricted purchase orders for completeness and accuracy.
• Purchases supplies, commodities and/or services.
• Communicates with vendors by all available means using technology to its greatest advantage.
• Researches and validates items available.
• Communicates with employees and department heads to resolve issues.
• Obtains quotes, both verbally and in writing, as required by company purchasing policies.
• Transmits and prioritizes approved purchase orders and supporting documents to supplier.
• Tracks order acknowledgement, prepares and communicates shortage and backlog reports.
• Tracks orders and confirms system lead times, delivery dates, and costs.
• Reviews, updates, and maintains purchase orders until they are closed.
• Leads finance and logistics staff in resolving reception and invoice discrepancies.
• Uses the computerized purchasing system and maintains vendor files.
• Accesses, inputs and retrieves information from a computer.
• Provides research on specifications/available contracts, when required.
• Analyze and evaluate sources and pricing alternatives to control costs and meet targeted price points
• Build, develop and maintain vendor and business relationships to support functional objectives.
• Assess supplier capabilities to qualify them as new source
• Review supplier performance metrics on a regular basis, identifying opportunities for improvement.

I have worked around 1 and half year in this logistic company which belonged to my friend (As for my training). And my responsibilities there are Basic Accounting, Logistics Coordinator and taking in charge of the administration.
