Position specifics and key responsibilities:
♣ Develop program curriculum
♣ Manage a team of five instructors
♣ Schedule classes and exams for 3 levels of students
♣ Conduct department meetings
♣ Attend professional development programs
♣ Manage trainee e-portfolio
♣ Manage and develop course outlines and pacing schedules
♣ Map tasks to SSS skills learning outcomes
♣ Plan lesson to match SSS knowledge learning outcomes
♣ Liaise with SSS and CoE
♣ Develop and maintain a system of trainee assessment feedback
♣ Develop policies pertaining to student attendance
♣ Plan and develop trainee internship (OJT) programs
♣ Teach business subjects for Diploma and Associate Diploma Business Programs, including:
• Maths, Accounting, IT and Microsoft Office, Presentation Skills, Employability Skills, and Marketing.

♣ Encourage strong attendance and active class participation

Donn Wadey has recently returned to Silpakorn University in Thailand where he is focusing on ESP in the BME (Business Management English) program, an advanced English program. Prior to this, he was teaching English in the Laureate English Program at Stamford International University in Thailand. Within Silpakorn’s faculty of Management Science, Donn has become interested in curriculum innovation, testing methodology, learner motivation, and the social context of English teaching. Teaching English for Specific Purposes is the aim of all English courses including: Business English, Hotel and Lodging, Tourism Management, and Public Administration. Donn contributes to many of the faculty’s management responsibilities, including course scheduling and human resource management. In 2010, Donn decided to pursue research in this area, and subsequently completed a M.A in Applied Linguistics and TESOL (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages) through Macquarie University in Sydney.
