Advise PhD students in experimental phonetics .

Work in a lab carrying out speech and voice analysis and synthesis
supervised a team of researchers on noise pollution and speech communication. I teach audiology to Deaf students at Addis Ababa university.
I took speech samples of children with speech problems and examined their problems with equipment and software and planned intervention. I assessed the impact of the intervention. I also trained audiologists and speech-language pathologists . I planned and executed awareness projects on noise pollution and voice abuse. I also conducted research on speech of students learning English as second or foreign language.

My research for doctoral project was an acoustic and perceptual experiment investigating the vowel and voice characteristics of prelingually deaf children. The paper was rated very good
