Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide technical assistance in monitoring, evaluation of project activities with other partners.
• Provide assistance in documentation process of ongoing activities and preparation of donor and Home Office reports.
• Assist in identification of capacity building needs of project staff and provide training where ever relevant.
• Maintain an updated database of all trainings and community mobilization activities at district level.
• Provide necessary technical and organizational support to conduct trainings/ workshops / seminars / meetings etc.
• Assist in developing annual and quarterly work plan as envisaged in the project proposal
• Assist in conducting required surveys or assessments as part of the project plan.
• Liaise with district/agency health department, LHW program and all other MNCH partners at districts level
• Plan and conduct monitor and evaluate, community mobilization and capacity building activities in District/agency
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
District Epidemiologist;- I am working as district epidemiologist since 21 Jan, 2014 till date;
Establish and maintain VPD and AEFI surveillance and response system using standardized guidelines in the district (public/private) of district as required.
Collect weekly surveillance reports (zero and active surveillance) from all health facilities in the district, compile, computerize and assess the data patterns at UC and district level.
Maintain Vaccine Preventable Disease and AEFI database at district level.
Initiate and lead proper case response as per standard guidelines where ever needed.
Develop and maintain line list for all communicable diseases, especially VPD and AEFIs.
Lead and coordinate the VPD surveillance activities in the district.
Develop surveillance and response team at district and sub district level to ensure quality reporting and response.
Coordinate and lead the outbreak investigations, specimen collection and shipment, (using standard guidelines) collect descriptive data, apply statistical measures and epidemiological terms to develop a hypothesis, apply analytical methods to test the hypothesis.
Coordinate with district health teams and other partners to assign proper preparedness against disease out breaks and emergencies.
Detect, verify, confirm and coordinate for response the disease outbreak or emergency at any situation all over the district.
Communicate and maintain regular weekly data/reports flow horizontally (District) and vertically (Province)
Orient all health care providers on surveillance and response system within the district of assignment.
Assist district and province to develop and implement training courses, using appropriate methodologies to fulfill identified training needs among EPI workers.
Support and monitor routine EPI activities at district level.
Develop and share weekly surveillance visit plans.
Develop weekly and monthly reports and share it with all concerned at district and provincial level.
Be prepared to undertake any task requested by the District Health Officer or Provincial Epidemiologist/EPI.
Produce written end of assignment handover notes.
Medical Supervisor MDM-F:- I worked as Medical supervisor (District Kohat, Peshawar & Hangu) MDM-F
Since 19 March 2012 till 24 Oct, 2013. Main responsibilitieswere;
1. Staff recruitment and some time to assist Medco in recruitment, Trainings of the new national staff. Duplicate/update forms and documents required for mobile clinics/static clinics in collaboration with the
MedCo. Provide the weekly planning (distribution of staffs, in coordination with the Medical Coordinator)
Conducting briefing/debriefing with the medical teams. Collect, analyze and send the weekly data and reports in collaboration with Medical Coordinator Prepare lists of drugs, material, furniture, stationeries, and other materials needed for mobile clinics. Take lead in the provision of appropriate equipment for mobile clinic. Perform briefing/debriefing with the medical teams. Manage human resources issues in the team, especially regarding paramedics.
Manage/supervise work of medical team (especially paramedics) in the field and provide feedback to MedCo on necessary issues or adaption. Data collection activity, Supervise the Base Pharmacist's duties
Provide logistics feed back to Site Co and Log. Help the Medical Coordinator to participate in the writing of reports (weekly donors, MoH and other partners)
Assess the need in terms of capacity building for the team and provide solution accordingly, training needs, etc. Participation to the site coordination team meeting (Site Coordinator, Base Log and Base Admin)
AOB as required for a smooth implementation of the program. Coordination with authorities regarding MDM-F
Medical activities in the area. Participation in District authorities' meeting and provision of activities feedback to district authorities.
Base InCharge (Merlin International): I Worked with Merlin International from 13 January, 2010 till 11 Feb, 2012, in the capacity of Base in Charge at Civil Hospital Madyan Swat. OPD and hospital management were also my responsibilities. Check the Medicines stock register, its report forwarding and sending the DEWS report to the Head office were my
Accomplishments. Supervision of Basic Emoc unit, ensuring the standard protocols. I had the responsibility to functionalize the DTC and previously the IDU (Infectious disease unit)
Team Leader: I also have had the opportunity to work with MDM France as a Medical Officer and Team Leader from 17 July 2009 to 31 December, 2009.Contribute to reduce the morbidity and mortality of the displaced population and the strained host population in the affected districts. Set up mobile & static clinics in affected districts. Support health facilities in affected districts. In charge of the consultations during the mobile
& static clinics. Give suggestions to improve the functioning of MDM mobile & static clinics and imply them when validated. Make sure that all needed items for the consultation are ready before leaving the base. Consultation: Take a proper medical history including. Reasons for consultation. Duration of the illness or complaint. Presence or absence of the main symptoms like fever, diarrhea, cough, dyspnea, vomiting. Past medical history and treatment. Perform a correct physical examination: Inspection, auscultation, percussion, palpation. Systematic checking of signs of severity like edema's, impaired consciousness, respiration rate, anemia and dehydration. Diagnose and treat the pathologies according to protocols in use (i.e. clinical guidelines) Write the most important complaints, signs, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment on the patient's registration form. Explain the treatment to the patient. Give individual health education related to the patient's disease, Fil in the registration forms for each patient, according to the diagnoses of the morbidity surveillance form.
Organize with the field medical coordinator the management of referral cases. Assist the Field Medical Coordinator Assistant in the daily data collection.
Share with the field medical coordinator any problem (medical or non medical) occurring during the mobile clinic.Participate to some training and MdM meeting
