D4D implemented a project related to electoral justice supported by Swiss Federal Department for Foreign Affairs. The Project Coordinator tasks consisted of; analyzing legal framework, preparing research papers on electoral justice, organizing workshops on raising awareness on gender participation, monitoring court sessions on election adjudication and reporting to donor on accomplished project activities. Another aspect of the project included preparing an MoU which was negotiated and signed by election dispute resolution and administration authorities; a declaration on women inclusion on electoral processes signed by political parties; and a manual on gender inclusion on election processes.

CDF Advisor à Capacity Development Facility

CDF (Capacity Development Facility) was a joint project between Kosovo Foundation for Open Society (KFOS), UNDP, Norwegian Embassy, and Kosovo Government. The project aimed strengthening democratic institution and improving Kosovo’s local and central administration. Through the CDF Advisor’s post in the Office for Public Communication of the Office of the Prime Minister I was tasked on; enhancing capacities of the Office, improving monitoring of the implementation of the Law on access to information, drafting policies for officials and citizens on benefiting the access to information standards.

IFES was a USAID funded project focused on supporting and reforming election administration in Kosovo.
Besides legal advices for the chief of office, I provided different support on organising workshops and trainings on election topics; supporting the office on preparing content materials for BRIDGE trainings, enabling technical support for organizing the training for trainees. Serving as working group support team of the two Assembly Committees assigned to develop election reform. Preparing terms of references, providing content as well as financial summaries on training proposals submitted to IFES. Observing political and election related developments and preparing fortnightly and monthly reports

Legal Adviser à International Research and Exchange Board – IREX

From 2005 through 2012, IREX implemented two consecutive USAID projects on supporting Kosovo media. The first phase project (2005-2008) supported the Kosovo media through donations and partnership activities while the second phase (2008-2012) was primarily focused on developing the minority TV station network through targeted grants for news and program production. The overall tasks consisted on: addressing issues in relation with the regulator as well as central and local government and ensuring media interests are not outraged; supporting media partners related to media legal framework; organizing roundtables and trainings to the journalists and editors; pursuing government and media regulator policies. Participating government Minority Media Fund commission activities by representing civil society approach on administering and distributing funds to media.

The Kosovo print and broadcast media have been regulated through The Office of the Temporary Media Commissioner (TMC) established by OSCE Mission in Kosovo in 2000. The Legal officer provided legal analysis and evaluations of the complaints submitted by citizens and authorities against broadcasters and newspapers in Kosovo. Preparing legal documentation concerning the facts and arguments of various complaint cases before Media Hearing and Media Appeals Board. Preparing contracts and other relevant legal documents for the operational activities of the Office of the TMC.
