Sept 2016 - Year 7 Leader at Doha Academy:
To lead an assigned year group to achieve high quality teaching, and the highest standards of learning for year 7 pupils through a creative and rigorous curriculum. I take an active and positive role in the development of curriculum attainment and progress within the school as a member of the leadership team.
Responsibilities:
• Liaise with parents and staff on students’ behavior, attendance, punctuality and welfare matters keeping them informed regarding issues and actions.
• Use of ISAMs school management system to track students’ progress and manage behavior.
• Analyse pastoral statistics including behavior and reports are recorded and actions are taken to reach individual and group targets.
• Day to day responsibility for the behavior and rewards of the year group including implementing lesson checks, managing behavior escalations, reporting mechanisms, detention and exclusion processes in paper work.
• Communicate positive and negative concerns to tutors and parents working with them to ensure improvements when there are concerns
• Identify pupil needs and cooperates with other professional staff members in helping pupils solve health, attitude, and learning problems.

• Utilizing a course of study adopted by the British National Curriculum and other appropriate learning activities.
• Plan a scheme of work involving demonstrations, lectures, discussions, and student experiments; organize laboratory activities for optimum learning.
• Plan and prepare end of term exams based on international past papers standards.
• Instruct pupils in proper use, care, and safe handling of chemicals, science equipment.
• Evaluate each pupil’s growth in knowledge, skills, and scientific attitudes in the course being taught by creating differentiated lesson plans and resources.

• Demonstrate scientific concepts by use of scientific apparatus, experiments, and standard or teacher-prepared charts, sketches, and other instructional aids.
• Plan and prepare end of term exams based on international past papers standards.
• Establish and maintain standards of pupil behaviour for a productive learning environment during class sessions, laboratory sessions, and field trips.
• Participate in curriculum and other developmental programs.
• Supervise pupils in out-of-classroom activities during the assigned workday.

• Review records of patients to determine the appropriateness of medication therapy.
• Evaluate patient’s condition to ensure all issues are being treated.
• Identify untreated health problems and refer patients to appropriate physicians.
• Develop effective medication plans that minimize the risk of adverse side-effects.
• Consult on dosages, medication substances etc.
• Advise on the correct administration of drugs.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
