Qatar Phase IV Project (Lot 9003/1 - Power Control System)
Head of SCADA and Telecom Maintenance Department in EKC (Electricity Coordination Centre, former JUGEL), Belgrade, Yugoslavia leading the team of five people (2 eng. & 3 tech.) responsible for maintenance, design and upgrade of various equipment in EKC.
Besides regular duties I was also working as Project and Design Engineer for different Studies and Projects, Preliminary Designs and Tender Documents both for EKC and ENERGOPROJEKT in Belgrade, Yugoslavia.
• Participated in realisation of the Preliminary Design and Tender Documents, evaluation of offers, approval of subcontractors, post-tender negotiations and clarifications for Qatar Phase IV Project, Lot 9003/1 - Power Control System
• Project for the modernization of the existing system for automatic generation control (SCADA/AGC) in EKC (from PC DOS/OS platform to PC UNIX/OS platform) including the development of the ORACLE Data Base.
• Feasibility Study and Concept Design for the modernisation of Regional Control Centre of Electric Power System of Vojvodina (Serbia), Yugoslavia.
• Supervising and co-ordinating the design and realisation of the PC DOS/OS based SCADA system, in parallel with the existing analogue system L&N 7000 (Leeds & Northrop).

Beginning in second half of 1992 started working off-shift as a Project and Design Engineer for different Studies and Projects in Electricity Co-ordination Centre (former JUGEL), Belgrade, Yugoslavia
• Feasibility Study of joint synchronous and parallel operation of Romanian and Bulgarian Electric Power System (EPS) with the EPSs under EKC co-ordination and EPSs of Greece and Albania in compliance with the UCPTE regulations and standards
• Feasibility study of introducing new hydro power plants on the Trebisnjica river flow in East Herzegovina and optimal usage of existing water flows
• Study for re-connection of the EPSs under EKC co-ordination with the UCPTE Interconnection (Re-connection of “South Ring” of 400 kV lines Mostar-Konjsko-Obrovac-Meline).
• Voltage-Var study for analysis and improving of Voltage conditions in electric power system of Montenegro during summer periods
Responsible for:
• co-ordination of transmission network and generation of the whole Electric Power System (EPS) of Yugoslavia, consisting of 6 republic EPSs, including inter-republic co-ordination and co-ordination with UCPTE,
• Scheduled and unscheduled switching operations on all international and inter-republic interconnection lines 400, 220 & 110kV.
• All unscheduled interchange including emergency & assistance energy, buying and selling of the energy for/to JUGEL, UCPTE and other neighbouring systems, in afternoon and night shifts.
• short term planning and various power flow studies for scheduled or unscheduled outages and maintenance works needed for secure & safe operation of the system
• Voltage-Var on line and off line studies in summer and night periods with the respect to the scheduled maintenance works and outages in order to provide optimal voltage conditions throughout the JUGEL network
