Teaching Experience at the University of Swat:
Since September 2013, I have held the position of Lecturer in English Literature and English Language at the University of Swat. Over the years, my role has been diverse, encompassing a range of courses aimed at equipping students with essential skills in communication, writing, and language proficiency.
Course Specializations:
In my capacity as a lecturer, I specialize in delivering courses that bridge the gap between academic excellence and practical application. These include Technical Business Writing, Communication Skills, Business Communication, Academic Writing, and Information Technology Communication. Each course is carefully designed to meet the evolving needs of students in a dynamic professional landscape.
Technical Business Writing:
My instruction in Technical Business Writing focuses on imparting the critical skills necessary for effective communication in a business context. This includes conveying complex technical information clearly and concisely and catering to diverse audiences within the corporate world.
Communication Skills and Business Communication:
I emphasize the development of robust communication skills, covering both interpersonal and professional communication. The Business Communication course specifically addresses the intricacies of effective communication within a corporate setting, preparing students for real-world scenarios in various business environments.
Academic Writing:
The Academic Writing course is designed to hone students' abilities in crafting well-structured and academically rigorous essays and research papers. It encompasses the nuances of scholarly writing, including proper citation, research methodologies, and the synthesis of information.
Information Technology Communication:
Recognizing the significance of technology in contemporary communication, my course on Information Technology Communication focuses on the effective use of digital tools and platforms. This equips students with the skills to navigate and succeed in an increasingly technology-driven professional landscape.
Teaching Philosophy:
My teaching philosophy revolves around fostering a dynamic and interactive learning environment. I strive to instil in students not only the requisite knowledge but also a passion for continuous learning. Ongoing Commitment:
As of the present date, I continue to contribute to the academic community at the University of Swat. My commitment to staying current with industry trends, incorporating innovative teaching methodologies, and nurturing students' intellectual growth remains unwavering.
I got my master in English Lituture and linguastics and started my career in teaching as lecturer in University of Swat. My passion was tourism and adventure, so quit my teaching job and started my own brand of Eco-cultural tourism. I worked with diversed projects of tourism i.e. training, seminars, content writing, expedition leading, arcagelogy tour planing etc.
PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENT
I had the distinct privilege of serving as a Master Trainer for an Ecotourism Training program in collaboration with the United Development Project (UNDP) Pakistan. This initiative unfolded across six districts in North Pakistan, spanning the period from June 2019 to December 2020.
Training Objectives:
The primary objectives of this comprehensive training effort were manifold. Firstly, it aimed to empower local communities to active participation in the tourism industry. Secondly, it sought to elevate the skills of aspiring tour guides, fostering excellence in their craft. Beyond these fundamental aspects, the program had a broader vision to instil a profound understanding of local opportunities, encompassing the diverse resources available for tourism, strategies for effectively marketing tourist destinations, and guidance on initiating successful careers in the field. Additionally, emphasis was placed on the promotion and documentation of local recipes, contributing to the cultural richness of the tourism experience.
Role as a Master Trainer:
As a Master Trainer, I played a pivotal role in shaping the success of this initiative. I dedicated myself to imparting valuable knowledge and skills to the participants, ensuring they were well-equipped to contribute meaningfully to the burgeoning tourism sector in the region. By fostering a sense of empowerment, I aimed to create a cadre of proficient and enthusiastic tour guides capable of showcasing the natural beauty of their locales and actively participating in the sustainable development of their communities.
Impact and Sustainability:
The outcomes of this training endeavour extend beyond the imparting of technical skills. By nurturing a sense of entrepreneurship and cultural preservation, the program aimed to create a lasting impact on the communities involved.
