Serve as the S3 mentor and Battle Captain for the Afghan Special Missions Wing (SMW) 2d Squadron in Northern Afghanistan. TAAMing the S3 staff and Operations center on all functions associated with coordinating and tracking of all flight operations dealing with MI-17s and PC-12s. Train all S3 staff on how to track and record all CIPHERs from the time they receive them from JSOCC or MOD to completion, or cancellation. Assisted the S3 staff with setting up white boards in the S3 office that shows and track all CIPHERs when they come in, scheduled date to complete, what unit the CIPHER support, the type of mission HAF, resupply PAX movement for MI-17s, or over-watch or A-29 Strike Support for PC-12s. Train the S3 Staff on recording flight and tracking of flight crew times and type of missions flown. Provide additional training to the PC-12 Mission Surveillance Officers (MSOs) on how to correct fill out back brief reports and ensure they record it properly. Provide mission summaries to higher HQ (SOAG) of all flight completed missions (MI-17 and PC-12). Maintain and update the SOAG J3 CIPHER tracker updating it dailt to track missions and hours flown, to also include training flights and Mission Test Flights (MTF). Submit for weather request for MI-17 Missions. Coordinate with AOB-N, Desert Knight, and other mission support as needed to support secure mission completions. Coordinate with 888th ANP for Squadron to conduct weapons qualifications (M4 and 9MM) at least semi-annually. Assist the Squadron in coordination with 209th Corp, 888th ANP and other units supporting during operations. TAAM the Squadron during RIP/TOA and assist and track completion of all required task (VALEX) to evaluate the Squadrons capabilities and qualifications, and provide training and assistance were needed to complete the VALEX prior to RIP/TOA. Coordinating training for all members to include MI-17 and PC -12 pilots and flight crews. Responsible for assisting in planning and coordinating for all MI 17s assault and support missions to support all operations in Northern Afghanistan. Responsible for coordinating with the US Army and Raytheon to ensure all Raytheon team members to include interpreters are in compliance with the military requirements and SOW. Collect and combine weekly reports from Raytheon team members and provide these reports to the military along with all weekly required reports and briefs, Collecting and consolidating all required weekly and monthly reports required from Raytheon and providing these requirements to DPMs and PM as required. Responsible for the accountability of all equipment assigned the team. Assist with the other mentors on the team to coordinate for training assistance as needed. Coordinate all movement of all team members throughout Afghanistan, as well as tracking them.
