Duties/responsibilities:
Lead the Civil-Structural Team of Engineers, Consultants, Designers/Designers, Draftsmen, and documentation controllers. Provides technical advice and work direction for discipline related activities in front-end engineering and design and coordinates with other disciplines and ensures that works as per industry, codes, and company standards. Monitor overall productivity and efficiency of design and construction projects, forecast trends, anticipate potential problems, risk and difficulties, milestones and target man-hours to attain successful submittal targets.

Ensure effective communications and coordination to all supervised Staff, Design Discipline Engineers, Construction Engineers, Clients, Consultant, Vendors, and other concerned personnel to ensure mutual awareness of design, material, construction requirements, schedule, company directives and related information updates, changes in scope of works.

SKILLS AND WORK ACCOMPLISHMENT SUMMARY

Already acquired more than thirty (30) years of experience in private and government works in the field of civil-structural engineering design of buildings, power plant steel structure frameworks, overhead and underground transmission line structures, shallow and deep foundations, earth retaining structures, concrete structures, roads, site development as follows:

• Accomplished several structural designs and detailed drawings of steel frames and latticed structures, reinforced concrete structures as applied to construction of buildings, power/industrial plant structures, overhead transmission lines, communication towers, earth retaining structures, platforms and related design connections.

• I studied and experienced structural analysis and design for static and dynamic loadings, collapse analysis, fatigue analysis, blast resistant design through Civil/Structural Engineering theories and adopted best design practices to accomplish design projects.

Developed structural engineering program calculations to minimize the time of repeated design calculations. Acquired training and personally learned and experienced using CAD commercial software to produce detailed 2D drawings for design projects.

• Led the 11-member multi-disciplinary team for following high value projects:
◦ Three 115/13.8 kV Substations (SR 320M EPC): Managed the structural design
of large-scale home ownership projects in South Dhahran funded by Saudi
Aramco, utilized precast and cast-in-situ concrete design that optimized costs
and minimized construction timelines; successfully completed in March 2017.
◦ 115kV Underground Cable Replacement (SR 186M EPC): Led the civil design
underground cable system for an offshore facility at Saudi Aramco Safaniyah
Power Plant. Designed underground cable duct banks supported on drilled piers
and specialized maintenance cable platforms; delivered a finalized design
package approved by Saudi Aramco, with construction successfully completed
in January 2020.
