I am responsible for managing all design and estimation works in the technical/tender department. Liaises with clients, receives and actions all scaffold requests from Projects. Estimates scaffolding requirements and prepares quotation packages. Assists the procurement team about material specifications for purchase and arranges testing of new materials from new source. Provides technical support to Projects Management with regards to temporary works required. Liaises with Project/Scaffold Supervisors to ensure works are scheduled, delivered, and installed as per company procedure and on related international standards.

I am responsible for each project’s preparation and implementation by providing loading analysis, detailed structural designs (scaffolds and cradles), and bill of quantities for submission including method statement and risk assessment. Liaises with client and conducts site supervisions to ensure adherence on the set standards.

I prepared each project’s structural requirements using computer-aided design and analysis to ensure safe function of each structure. This includes gravity and lateral wind load analysis for the various concrete and steel structures, detailed structural design and analysis of slabs, beams, retaining walls, sheet piles, basement walls, columns, steel frames, cylindrical chambers/manholes, footings, and mat foundations.

I had multi-tasking roles in the company depending on the project at hand. On a general scope, I was accountable for the investigation, design, analysis, and implementation of various vertical and horizontal structures including standard, retrofit, and value engineering projects. Prepared loading analysis; gravity, lateral wind, and lateral earthquake loads. Prepared structural concrete analysis and design; beams, columns, wing walls, abutments, shear walls, slabs, stairs, and footings. Prepared structural steel analysis and design; purlins, trusses, beams, columns, base plates, and space frame structures. I was also responsible for some of the project’s financial assessment and was part of a team who prepared various project reports including Inception, Monthly Progress, Capacity Evaluation, Retrofit Designs and overall design plans.
