1. Monitor, check parameter trend and intervene where necessary to ensure the safe, efficient and effective operating systems to avoid unnecessary upsets.
2. Communicate and follow instructions of Supervisors and Senior Operators to carryout duties Effectively, Safely and Efficiently.
3.Ensuring the effective, efficient and safe monitoring and operation of all Equipments in the assigned area of responsibility.
4.Routine inspection, monitoring and recording of operating conditions in the daily shift reading sheets and the keeping of accurate records of equipment and systems status and any changes in the daily logs.
5. Routine starting/stoppage of Pumps, MOV'S, Manual Valves and its adjustments as directed by the control room operator.
6.Identification and reporting of corrective maintenance requirements (i.e. anomalies, corrosion and structural defects etc.) within assigned operating area.
7. Inspections of Pumps and Motors for abnormal sounds, Leakages, Vibrations, high Temperatures etc
8.Ensuring good housekeeping within area of responsibility.
9. Providing Technical Knowledge and experience in diagnosing and resolving operational problems.
10. Providing feedback to Supervisors and Control Room Operators any changes to which affects work schedules and plans.
11. Performs emergency response duties and tasks as required by the company’s standards.
12. Ensure equipment is safely started or shut down from the field when required by the panel, in accordance to job procedures, safety/ environmental regulations.
13. Shut down, isolate and prepare pumps, Valves, Pipelines, Tanks for maintenance work.
14. Assist in the analysis and solution of operational problems.
Perform condition monitoring of equipment.
15. Propose changes to improve Equipment reliability.
16. Assist the training of Developees.
17. Inspections and Operations of MOV's, ESD's, Safety and Control Valves for Leakages, Abnormalities and smooth operations.
18. Commissioning and Decommissioning of Pumps, Valves, Tanks(Fixed, Floating and Spherical)
19. Participates in emergency reviews/drills and functions as an auxiliary fire safety man.
20. Coordinates and ensures that the maintenance works are done according to job procedures, safety/environmental requirements.
21. Verifies that the maintenance works are completed and satisfactory before closure of work permits/certification.
22. Take regular samples of products for laboratory analysis and irregular samples upon request.
23. Performs field parameter logging and reports any irregularities to the shift supervisor.
24. Reviews events of previous shift and follow up on events needing attention and also identify events for the attention of the incoming shift.

1. Control and Operate transfer of hydrocarbons for inter tank transfers and feeding process units like Crude Distillation Units, Residual Fluid Catalytic Cracker Units etc.
2. Operate transfer motor pumps and check for over-current and mechanical damage.
3. Perform routine inspection of transfer pipelines, valves and storage tanks to check for damage, over-pressurization, spillage or leakage.
4. Managed the only gas storage tanks in the refinery for transfer and receiving of liquidified petroleum gas alone for 3 years without any problem.
5. Review events of previous shift and also identified event for the attention of the incoming shift.
6. Draining of water from product tanks. Blending of products for market.
7. Open Gauging and Close Gauging of product tanks.
8. Temperature reading of product transfer lines, tanks etc.
9. Line-up of pipes and tanks for internal and external transfers.
10. Transfers to the Jetty/Berths.

16. Gauge storage tanks and measure tank temperatures to check inventory of products.
17. Perform routine checks on equipment and reporting any anomalies.
18. Writing and Endorsing of Work Permit / Requesting Systems and ensuring of Safe Working Environment.
19. Operating and monitoring of inventory of products with Entis Pro Tank monitoring Systems in the control room.
20. Blending of Petroleum Products and calculations of products into volumes etc.
21. Commissioning and Decommissioning of Pipelines and Storage Tanks.
22. Reviews of laboratory results; Logging and review of Log sheets.
