Conduct final inspection of installed rebars & formworks prior for concrete pouring. Control concrete quality at the checkpoint (slump, temperature, cube sampling & mix design) during concrete works. Initiate NCR, CAR when required against defective work, improper workmanship, wrong method, wong material that are found during the progress of work. Reviewing ITP's, Method Statement & Project specification. Monitoring daily field construction operations to ensure compliance with approved Project/s Design Drawings and Project/s Quality Plans.
Responsible for the quality control / assurance inspection of civil, structural and architectural works including earthworks & heavily reinforced concrete foundations. Conduct daily surveillance of construction activities, internal and final inspection together with the client's representative for installed rebars & formworks prior for concrete pouring. Initiate and coordinate with third party laboratory to conduct soil test for proctor value to be used in backfilling. Prepare/submit daily field inspection status report (results and remarks, if any, of each field inspection items). Raising internal non-conformance report (NCR) and closing NCR from main contractor compiling all the necessary documents / data as per the quality control procedures. Report to QA/QC Manager & Project Manager for any quality related issues and any non-conformance.
Monitoring project QA/QC activities in the construction phase, review issued for construction drawings (IFC), specifications, inspection and test plan (ITP) and method statements to ensure that works comply with the project specifications. Conduct internal and final inspection for formworks and rebars and ensure all inserts materials are in place and properly installed prior for concrete casting. Checking concrete quality at checkpoint during concreting works and conduct post pour inspection for hardened concrete. Coordinate with third party testing laboratory on materials sampling and testing, laboratory and field testing related issues such as field density test, concrete quality check (slump test, temperature determination and concrete compressive strength). Conduct moisture test on concrete surface prior to apply bituminous paint waterproofing on the foundation. Raising internal NCR and closing NCR from main contractor compiling all the necessary documents / data as per the quality procedures.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITY
• To inspect the work as per specifications, latest drawings.
• Review work schedule based on the approved schedule, plans & drawings.
• To carry out all inspections, witnessing, monitoring, surveillance, etc. as per requirements of inspection and test plan (ITP).
• To check and verify all materials to be used on the project are approved by the consultant prior any applications and submit material inspection report (MIR) to the consultant.
• To liaise with the consultant when required to carry out inspection and to obtain approval as per request for inspection for an activity, secure signature for the hold point.

• Control delivery time of concrete including test such as slump and temperature.
• Initiates and perform field density test (FDT) to assure its compactness prior to any foundation structures be allowed to proceed.
• Ensures that all examination and inspection procedures are in accordance with the costumer’s specified codes and standards.
• Prepares & submit RFI (request for inspection), TQ (technical query), MS (method of statements) and Material submittal to the consultant (Royal Commission) for approval.

Perform all daily inspection and test of the scope and character necessary to achieve the quality of construction required in the drawings and specifications for all works under the contract performed ON or OFF site.
•Carry out inspection and checking for all quality related procedures in the site and ensures activity at the site are as per approved method statement and inspection test plan.
•Report to the QA/QC Manager, control, and monitor all activities related to Quality Issues.
•Taking care of QA/QC documents of the entire project including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and site instruction/observations, permanent materials delivered and other QA/QC documents.

•Concrete mix design checks, including aggregate and cement sampling and testing.
•Asphalt mix design checks, including aggregate and bitumen sampling and testing, also transportation and laying specification requirements.
•Surface regularity measurements ensuring compliance with specified tolerances all layers of construction.
•Initiate NCR, CAN when required against defective work, improper workmanship, wrong method, wrong material that are found during the progress of work and advised the project engineer for closing out.
•Coordinates with the various contractors to ensure that the approved Health & Safety / QA/QC procedures and the Quality Plan are implemented during inspection activities.
