On a part time basis my responsibility include:
•Conducting financial feasibility studies on tendered terminals, leading to a decision of whether or not to invest in a project
•Performing analysis of potential terminals to be established around the Middle East, including competition analysis
•Coming up with terminal design, equipment needs and specifications, based on planned use and traffic volume
•Consulting Port of Beirut Operations on the needed improvements in its operations and terminal operating system
My responsibilities include (i) establishing the department and setting up policies and procedures, (ii) liaising with customs offices throughout the Mediterranean, (iii) advising management on the amendment requirements to the customs law in order to align it with current best practices, and (iv) targeting high risk containers for inspection
Responsibility included:

I was conracted by CMA from International Port Management, my responsibilities included:
•Improving the overall productivity of Malta Freeport to boost revenues and improve efficiency
•Optimizing field supervision, driving practices, terminal operating system and planning best practices
Duties spanned to cover:
•Planning and following up on the construction of a thirty million dollar warehouse for Kraft company
•Ensuring Kraft’s logistical needs are met via the design of the warehouse by ensuring flexibility of plans
•Ensuring construction deadlines are met and the various phases are delivered on time
•Managing warehousing, transportation and shuttling, customs clearance, freight forwarding to guarantee smooth operations
Job included:
•Managing the Vessel and Yard Planning department, Gate & Logistics Department, and control tower to ensure planning is performed in a timely and efficient manner
•Optimizing the allocation of planners and control operators to improve port efficiency
•Optimizing truck turnaround, vessel rotation and minimizing operational costs by minimizing congestion
•Deriving Key Performance Indicators to measure operational efficiency
•Managing the Implementation of the RDT (Radio Data Terminal) system into terminal operations
•Liaising with the shipping lines to sort out logistical bottlenecks
•Ensuring proper implementation of contracts with different parties like the Beirut port authority and shipping lines
•Supervising field operations
•Liaising with Maintenance
•Identifying and fixing weaknesses in the port planning and operational practices
•Identifying and rectifying shortfalls in the CTMS system
