Processing incoming and outgoing wire transfers while ensuring all regulatory and policy requirements are upheld.
Maintains communication with customers and employees on wire requests and/or questions regarding wire transfers. Also responsible for recording funds trades, executing currency exchange for foreign wire transfers, and maintaining general ledger accounts. Part of the responsibilities are:
• Receives, reviews, and processes outgoing wiring instructions from customers, branches, and departments. Follows strict verification processes and documents both internal and customer approvals in accordance with wire policy.
• Inputs instructions into system, and initiates corrective action if needed.
• Assists customers and employees with questions related to wire transfers.
• Provides first level support to research wire issues. Escalates issues as deemed necessary.
• Calculates and executes the exchange of foreign currency at the request of the customer in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Notifies the branches, departments and customers of incoming wire transfers.
• Maintains records which document wire transfer transactions.
• Follows security and operational control procedures for the wire transfer systems.
• Prepares various spreadsheet and database reports according to prescribed schedules and procedures
• Researches highly confidential wire transfer records in accordance with legal services. Provides research findings to the bank’s legal department.
• Analyzes and funds/draws available funds with upstream correspondent banks.
• Record and maintains accurate fund trade reports for upstream and downstream correspondent banks.
• Analyze client wire transfer authorization forms to determine that they are completed in order to process wire transfers based on the Bank’s policy requirements.
• Manages customer accounts by releasing (or holding) customer orders, making collection calls, and researching and resolving past due and disputed items/claims.
Responsible of minimizing the risk to BANK by performing analysis and review of credit application for banks’ diversified portfolio of corporate customers and make appropriate recommendations to Credit Committee based on detailed modeling and research. Monitors existing credit facilities to ensure that they are adhered to.
Responsible of supervising Relationship Managers and Senior Relationship Managers; Monitoring and reviewing their proposals; Assigning tasks for them.
To liaise with the client’s representatives on a regular basis to ensure that they are fully aware of progress and performance.
Compile and examine operational information from all applicable components of the business, credit risk management of the information and develop integrated revenue/cost analysis projections, reports, and presentations for those clients allocated to you.
To undertake any other management tasks as requested by the Directors from time to time to ensure the successful trading of the business.
Receives details of prospective customers from Corporate Banking and performs detailed analysis of company in order to recommend appropriate credit facilities to minimize risk to BANK. This analysis includes looking at feasibility studies, all financial statements and accounts of new clients, peer analysis, market intelligence etc.
Attends on need basis customer presentations in order to be better informed with credit analysis and recommendations
Interprets the gathered/reported information and make sound risk analysis
Uses modeling tools and own market intelligence to make sensible forecasts and projections around company finances and report setting out facts for the unit Head and Credit Committee
Makes appropriate and sound recommendations as to credit proposals in order to obtain appropriate approvals
Supervises and monitors existing credit facilities through the preparation of periodic progress reports to ensure they remain appropriate for regular and adequate utilization and settlement
Takes appropriate action if there is misusage of facilities and corrective action is recommended.
In some cases, prepares presentation and participates in presenting recommendations directly to the Credit Committee
Assists in providing adequate and important information about existing managed portfolios as well as the potential ones in order to assist in the preparation of the area’s business plans.
Participate in portfolio review reports covering stress test scenarios
Providing quality service to internal customers through undertaking risk assessment analysis of various types of lending proposals, from the straightforward to the very complex.
Analyzing financial information, such as statements, management accounts and cash flow statements.
Developing models of credit information to predict patterns and trends using specialist statistical software.
Assessing the credit worthiness of client companies.
Advising and recommending changes to policy and procedure.
Liaising with other staff within the company, such as account managers and product specialists.
