An international US government project supporting US troops in the Middle East, Balkans, Asia and Africa.
Responsible for performing a variety of technical support activities related to the IT Department.
• Cisco switches/WAP, Bridges configuration. Motorola Canopy installation and configuration.
• Resolving complicated TCP/IP issues and wireless outages due to jamming wireless signal by the military.
• Maintaining proper communications for the designated Task Order small remote camps.
• Backing Systems Engineers providing support/administration for Server Platforms and MS back office.
• Help Desk support, troubleshooting physical installations of Hardware (PCs, Printers, Plotters, Scanners, peripherals) and Software (application programs, software upgrades, invulnerability patches).
• Preparing PCs with required hardware/software configuration, installing/updating client software on all users’ PCs in accordance with procedures developed by IT Security and Development Center.
• Preparation of Situation Reports (such as accomplished weekly/monthly activities, service level agreements), IT utilization study and recommendations on areas of improvement.
Halliburton/Kellogg Brown and Root “KBR” (LNG Damietta)
An industrial Joint Venture building the biggest single LNG Train, comprising KBR, TR and JGC
Trained (in work site) on the current implemented IT systems in Greenford Kellogg, London.
• Set up areas on File server for project departments.
• Active Directory setting up Global and Domain Local security groups, and assigning permissions.
• Deployment of Ghost images at work-site.
• Site’s Acting Communication and Information Supervisor. First line co-ordination between DMS, Aberdeen and KBR, Damietta for maintaining seamless V-SAT communications.
• Maintaining Nortel PBX station and Power-Out-Fail Safe operation, assigning telephony access levels.
