Attieh Steel is the largest steel trading company in KSA. Its branch network is all over KSA, UAE, Middle East and Gulf region. Following is my brief working profile:
• Managing the centralized Treasury Department of ASL and dealing with most of the local banks and some foreign banks (dealing with Islamic & Conventional banking) as well with wide range of products like LC and refinancing, LGs, Term Loan & hedging products like IRS (Interest Rate Swap).
• Daily Reporting to the CEO & Top Management and providing professional opinion on the Cash Flow Management.
• Liaison with Bankers and finalizing the Credit Facilities Agreements.
• Providing information to the Procurement & Logistics Departments for LCs’ & LGs’.
• Preparation of Annual Budget, Cash Flow Forecast and variance analysis.
• Providing Quarterly Financial information to the banks and reply to their queries.
• Online Payroll processing project through Bank Alrajhi & Arab National Bank.
Initially I was deputed as Chief Accountant where I was In-charge of Accounting Department and after two years I was promoted to the position of Financial Controller. This position requires more attention in the following areas apart from the normal Financial Reporting:-
• Finalization of Monthly Financials & Reporting Package for Foreign Partners.
• Liaison with Ministry of Irrigation, Water & Roads (Since all the contracts were awarded by the Government) in submission of claims and follow up for the payments.
• Dealing with bankers for the Fund Management and issuance of Advance, Bid and Performance Bonds.
• Closely work with the Head Office in Italy for reporting and arranging machinery, expertise and material.
• Dealing with Taxation Authorities, Foreign Internal Auditors and External Auditors.
Attained diversified experience through hands-on hierarchical training from a level of Junior Trainee to the Audit In- charge. The responsibilities included were:
• Audit planning and risk assessment
• Developing audit programs and preparation of audit working papers
• Delegation of job responsibilities and supervision of audit staff
• Evaluation of audit queries and co-ordination with the clients
• Finalization of audit with the partner, and drafting audit reports & management letters
During the Article-ship, conducted audits of different local and foreign organizations in major sectors such as:
Foreign Contractors - Non Government Organizations - Cement Plant Manufacturers - Oilfield Components Manufacturing Companies - Consulting Firms - Construction - Cement - Textile & Foreign Missions etc.
Worked as Finance Manager and was responsible for managing the Finance Department. While working as a Finance Manager, I got experience of supervising the finance team, maintaining the accounting records, handling pertinent tax and corporate matters.
